Zontes Reveals Yamaha T-Max Rival, the ZT 500 Maxi-Scooter, in Home Markets
Zontes, the Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer, has recently unveiled its latest offering in the form of the ZT 500 maxi-scooter. The new model aims to rival the Yamaha T-Max, and boasts a striking design with large dimensions and a curvaceous body. The scooter's styling features include twin-pod headlights, a split-style floorboard, a step-up seat, a split-style pillion grabrail, and a large windscreen.
The Zontes ZT 500 is equipped with a robust 491cc, single-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 44.9bhp and a peak torque of 53Nm. Interestingly, this engine is based on the company's 349cc maxi-scooter, the ZT 350. With a top speed of 160kmph, the ZT 500 promises a high-performance ride. The scooter's hardware includes disc brakes on both wheels, sourced from J.Juan, with dual-channel ABS providing enhanced safety The ZT 500 rides on 15-inch wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres measuring 120/70-section at the front and 160/60-section at the rear The suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear springs.

While the Zontes ZT 500 may not see an Indian launch, the brand's presence is growing in the Indian market with Adishwar Auto Ride India. Zontes currently offers five products in India, including the 350R, 350X, GK 350, 350T, and 350T ADV. With the introduction of the ZT 500, Zontes is further expanding its product range and bolstering its position in the global two-wheeler market.
