How long have you been installing and what areas do you cover?
I have been installing kitchen and bathrooms for over 10 years and I cover the Berkshire area.
What do you install and what’s your specialty?
I install a range of both kitchens & bathrooms; my specialty is fitting bespoke kitchens. Do you install yourself or do you have a team/teams of installers working for you?
It depends on the customer and the job; I am always on hand should my sub-contractors need me.
How did you become a kbb installer?
I became a BiKBBI installer over 10 years ago when I was installing for John Lewis of Hungerford. What has been your biggest business challenge?
Having to be adaptable in an ever-changing economy. I have established myself locally as a reliable and professional tradesman/ businessman and that is because I’m always going the extra mile, regardless of what challenges that have been thrown at me. The customer is always right! What’s been your biggest personal challenge?
Trying to get the right balance between home and family life and work life.
Do you have any concerns for the future of the industry?
I do sometimes hope that there will be a good enough supply of quality tradesmen coming into our industry in the future.

Why did you join the BiKBBI and how long have you been a member?
Firstly, due to the fact that the BiKBBI is a recognised UK trade body. As a member, I can therefore provide my customer’s with peace of mind knowing that they have engaged a qualified and reputable tradesman. I have been a member 10 years now! If you were a youth worker, would Yes, I would as it is a very rewarding job and it gives a full sense of achievement. At the end of every day, you can literally stand back and see that you have produced something to be proud of. You produce something tangible every day of the working week. What would I change about the industry?

I wished that being a Tradesman/ woman is better valued by society generally. A FEW PERSONAL QUESTIONS:
Have you a family?
Yes a wife, 2 daughters, 1 golden retriever and a hamster!
What about hobbies?
I am a registered cub scout leader and enjoy all outdoor pursuits. Favourite holiday destination?
The Swiss mountains – skiing. Favourite sport/team?
All Rugby Union What would be a perfect weekend for you?
Anything with the family and dog, especially getting away spending time with my daughters
