STUDENTS SAY CIAO TO MASTERCLASS HQ
As youngsters up and down the country headed back to school in September, Masterclass Kitchens welcomed a group of Italian students to its head office and factory for a lesson in British manufacturing. The students visited the Cardiff HQ having travelled to the UK on a two-week programme that combines an English language course with a short work placement. Spending time at Masterclass Kitchens gave the group an insight into the world of work, as well as the opportunity to brush up on their English skills. “We were keen for the students to visit Masterclass Kitchens to gain some insight into how a manufacturing company operates,” explained Nicky Partridge, Centre Manager at Peartree Languages. “Visiting the showroom and the offices gave them a flavour of a factory and office environment at a time when they are just starting to think about their future careers and university options.” Geoff Moore, HR Manager for Masterclass Kitchens, who helped organise the visit, said: “We were only too happy to accommodate the students for the day. Having our factory, showroom and head office all on one site meant the group were able to get a great insight into all aspects of our business and gave them plenty to think about in terms of their own future career options.”

WRAS APPROVAL SECURED FOR ABODE 4 IN 1 STEAMING HOT WATER TAPS
All Abode 4 in 1 steaming hot water taps, filters and boilers now have full WRAS approval, giving KBB installers, developers, designers and retailers complete peace of mind across the entire range. WRAS is the UK standard against waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply, with approval meaning that these Abode Pronteau and Proboil products comply with the necessary regulations for new build and refurbishment projects. Abode Pronteau mixers deliver lime scale-free filtered cold and 80-98º filtered steaming hot water, on demand. At 98º Pronteau delivers water in a structured and controlled way, eliminating spitting and spurting and not only complies with WRAS requirements, but also meets Part G building regulations which stipulate that 100º should never be used in new build projects in the UK. Abode Pronteau 4IN1 taps also feature a patented child safe Hotkey function to prevent accidental harm. Hot water will not be dispensed unless the Hotkey is placed in proximity to the front of the tap. The 360º spout always remains cool and safe to touch, as the hot water runs through a central channel of the spout. Also WRAS approved is the ProBoil3, an intelligent and compact, self-diagnostic boiler with a 3kW element delivering over 50 cups an hour. It also features an automatic eco-mode ensuring that daily running costs remain low. The tank, which sits comfortably under the sink, is manufactured from stainless steel to avoid tainted water tastes from copper or plastics.
