Slimfix® clips are also available on the new Aruba granite sink by Carron Phoenix – the first granite sink to feature the innovative system which ensures fast and easy installation from above the worksurface.

Installers can say goodbye to the awkward task of squeezing under the sink during its installation to secure it in place by using fiddly clamps, screws and fixing rails thanks to the innovative Slimfix® fixing system by Franke.

The patented installation method anchors the sink firmly to the work surface without the need for any under-sink fitting – brilliant! So how exactly does it work?

You begin as normal by creating a cut-out in the worktop using the template supplied and applying waterproof sealant around the surface of the newly cut space. At this point you would usually have to duck underneath the worktop and inside the cabinet to fix the sink in place, all the while holding the sink so to prevent it from moving out of position. However, with Slimfix® you simply drop the sink into the space and push down to secure the clips, and you’re done! This simple system is super easy to do and saves kitchen installers valuable time, all 

the while producing first class results with every installation.

Franke’s Slimfix® system uses strong anchor clips, pre-fitted under the rim, that cleverly flex inwards when the installer places the sink into the cut-out. Once in position, the clips release pressure on the worktop, holding it firmly in place without the need for any adjusting or additional clamping – whatever the thickness of the worktop. This short video produced by Franke UK shows just how easy the method is.

Sinks fitted with Slimfix® include Franke’s brand-new Box Center – an all-in-one, multi-tasking stainless steel sink that seamlessly marries form with design. It cleverly integrates a rack and seven food preparation accessories to create a workstation for cutting, rinsing, straining and draining, making it ideal for large, open plan or compact kitchens.

The anchoring clips are also available on two additional stainless steel ranges by Franke, the premium Laser sink in a single or 1.5 bowl and the Argos sink in two single bowl options and a 1.5 bowl.

Not just for stainless steel, Slimfix® clips were recently introduced to granite sinks with the new Aruba sink by Franke’s sister brand, Carron Phoenix. The first granite sink to feature

Franke’s patented Slimfix® clips flex inwards when lowered into a prepared cut-out, holding the sink firmly in place without the need for any under-sink installation work.

Slimfix®, the Aruba comes in three models, the single bowls 90 and 100 and the 150 one and a half bowl which fit 500mm and 600mm cabinets respectively. The 220mm deep bowls are designed with an accessories ledge to hold a strainer bowl to optimise user ergonomics.
