Debuting at the 2017 Scottish Home Improvement Awards was a new accolade of ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry’. This will truly prove to be a much coveted award and the inaugural winner was announced as CEO of the BiKBBI, Damian Walters. The award was decided upon after analysing independent, organic nominations from within the home improvement industry where the committee recognised Damian for his tireless work developing the institute, his work in the field of education, and his consistent charitable efforts.

Damian said of his award, “Whilst completely shocked by the award, I am incredibly grateful to receive such an accolade and delighted to have been involved with SHIA for the third year running. The awards are clearly growing in popularity and I’m confident we’ll continue our support for years to come.”

Scottish Home Improvement Awards CEO and Founder, Warren Paul, shared his appreciation for the commitment and engagement of supporters, “Establishing partnerships with agencies and businesses is vital to the success of these awards. We need to continue to work together to ensure an industry environment we can all be proud to work in.
