Keasler Complex celebrates gymnasium grand re-opening

The Keasler Complex gym floor resurfacing is done.
The RiverBend Growth Association held a ribboncutting ceremony on Friday, June 2, to officially re-open the gymnasium with three pickleball courts. The gym floor was the original upon opening in 1979. Keasler Complex is located at 615 Third St., East Alton, and can be reached at
618-259-7411. Pickleball open gym resumes on Monday, June 5. Check out East Alton’s website for more information. Village officials in attendance were Mayor Darren Carlton; Tyler Lafferty, Park & Rec Superintendent; Lona Heeren, Physical Director; Jack Stalcup, Sports Programmer; Robin Carlton, Adult/Seniors Event
Coordinator; and Trustees Debbie Angelton, Allen Hale, Kelli Fletcher, Denny Weber, and Stan Foiles. Also present were former mayor, Joe Silkwood; former trustee, Phil Keasler; and former Parks & Recreation director, Bob Angleton. Mark Gau from Henges Interiors cut the ribbon.
