BIG SKY RESORT AREA DISTRICT
Dear Big Sky,

Each year, the Big Sky Resort Area District (BSRAD) is given the extraordinary opportunity to shape the future of our community through local investment. Resort Tax isn’t just a funding source—it’s a tool for building the kind of Big Sky we believe in. It allows us to dream big, tackle tough challenges, and invest in the people and places that make this place home.
Since its inception, Resort Tax has invested more than $150 million into our community. We’ve been able to fund essential services, preserve natural resources, and strengthen the infrastructure that support our quality of life—all while providing relief to local taxpayers.
In the pages ahead, you’ll find this year’s funding requests submitted by local government and nonprofit partners who are working to move Big Sky forward. We invite you to learn more, stay engaged, and help us steward these public dollars with intention.
We’re proud to serve this incredible place—and even prouder to do it alongside a community that shows what it means to be Better Together.

In previous years, grants were awarded in June. Since this was before the fiscal year ended, allocations were based on estimated collections. This year, the grant cycle was shifted to follow our year-end so we can work with actual Resort Tax collections. This change helps the Board set more accurate budgets across all eight impact areas and provides project sponsors with a clearer picture of available funding.
