THE WORLD’S PREMIER MINERAL EXPLORATION & MINING CONVENTION An Introduction from the PDAC 2024 Convention Planning Committee Co-chairs Valerie Wilson – Technical Manager, Geology, SLR Consulting, and Charles Beaudry – VP Exploration and Director at QC Copper and Gold Inc., talk about what’s in store for the award-winning 2024 Convention in Toronto this March. PDAC’s Convention Planning Committee (CPC) co-chairs are looking forward to PDAC 2024. “We’re really excited to share our Program with the community this year,” says co-chair Valerie Wilson. “Our committee has done a fantastic job of recruiting a really diverse set of presenters – from both outside and within our community – to speak on a number of key topics of great importance to the sector.” The CPC’s goal is to bring to PDAC’s Convention content that is educational, thought provoking, and relevant. They are responsible for developing diverse content and speaker lineups within the Keynote Program, Corporate Presentation Forum for Investors (CPFI), Exploration Insights, Investment Leaders Forum, the Technical Program, and Short Courses. Valerie and Charles, the CPC’s co-chairs, have a few items they are especially excited for attendees to experience at PDAC 2024. “We’ve hosted an Archean Gold session a few times over the years, and it always draws a crowd,” says Charles, “but this is the first year we will have two renowned subject experts featured together, namely Richard Goldfarb and Dave Rhys.” Sunday’s “Future of commodities in volatile markets” will host Canadian economist Mark Carney, as well as an incredible critical metals panel of industry CEOs. For the first time this year, PDAC is hosting an “Investment Leaders Forum.” This includes a re-imagined Letter Writers program, and the investor favourite CPFI program, which will both
be featured in a new theatre right on the show floor. Convention attendees can learn from current thought leaders what they believe are the best up-and-coming companies, what key market trends may occur in the next year, and up-to-theminute information on featured exploration and development companies. With all this available directly from the show floor, investors can pounce on opportunities as soon as they exit the CPFI theatre. PDAC 2024 is a place for opportunity and growth, and an important venue for discussing challenges present in our industry. With this, our Program will host the Technical Session, “Accelerating the transformation” – an interactive discussion that re-imagines discovery to recovery with reduced timelines and cost, and features disruptors from the industry looking to make meaningful gains in

Another key session, “Decarbonization journeys of different sized mining companies” will explore the pressures companies face to decarbonize, with the paradigm of maintaining profits and competitive advantages. Covering over 600,000 square feet of both the North and South Buildings of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the programming that will be presented at the 2024 Convention is a testament to the experience, dedication, and perseverance of our volunteer committee.
