Quaterra Resources has named Travis Naugle as CEO. He is a seasoned mining executive and has led in the design, construction, and operation of mining projects in the U.S., Eurasia, Russia, and Asia. His focus is on environmental and sustainability initiatives in collaboration with local and Indigenous peoples, negotiating international joint ventures, and securing a bilateral mining treaty between two sovereign nations. A licenced P.Eng., Naugle received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a degree in mining engineering from Montana Tech.
Gold Resource has named Alberto Reyes the company’s new COO. He has more than 20 years of experience in mining operations in North and Latin America, South Africa, Australia, the Philippines, Ghana and Brazil. Reyes has progressively held more senior roles in Newcrest Mining, GoldFields, Luna Gold, and most recently, was VP operations at Coeur Mining. He holds a B.Eng mining from Laurentian University and is a chartered professional mining and a qualified person with the AusIMM.
David Anonychuk is joining the SGS Natural Resources team as global VP, metallurgy and consulting. He brings 25 years of international mining and metallurgical experience as a metallurgical engineer and mineral economist. Anonychuk has an extensive background in strategy development, operations, capital budgets, and commercial sales, and a diverse range of project experience including feasibility studies, on the ground due diligence, independent technical reviews, risk assessments, project ranking, financial and business modelling, and metallurgical test work.
