GreetingsfromtheClubhouse!

We are gearing up for a busy summer and looking forward to letting the good times roll at the clubhouse. With the beautiful weather we ' ve been having lately, you want to dine, drink, and mingle with a view only Big Canoe can deliver. The veranda and patio have been hopping, and you can feel the energy. We held a pop-up wine tasting last week and want to thank everyone who stopped by. It was a lot of fun talking wine with you all and sharing samples of some of the variety we offer. We continually listen to feedback and keep growing our wine list based on your preferences

We've also launched a new All Day Menu. Simplifying the m hours of operation, what menu is served, and when. Any hour we are open, you have great dining options. This includes new pub-style appetizer additions like the Pretzel Sticks with queso and honey mustard or the Fried Brussels Sprouts with remoulade and basil pesto. Both are great for sharing and have been well received. We've added a Tropical Fruit Salad, Caprese Salad, and our Shrimp and Crab Stack to add some freshness to the menu for Spring and Summer. We are most excited about our new dessert menu. If you haven't seen it online or in person, we have a great new dessert menu with a lot of variety.

Let's talk about reservations. This seems to be a topic that comes up from time to time and I would like to try and clear up any confusion. Reservations are encouraged but not required. Reservations are the way to go if you have a large group or have specific requests regarding timing and seating. The pub tables are always open seating, first come, first served. We intentionally do not take reservations for the pub tables as we want to preserve the "Cheers" vibe we have in the Black Bear Pub. There will definitely be times when we are booked up on busy nights, but we are always looking for the opportunity to serve you at the clubhouse, so please do not hesitate to stop by.

Keep a close watch on Big Canoe Living every two weeks and our Facebook page, as we have an exciting lineup of live music planned for the entire summer. We're already starting to fill up for Mother's Day, but there's still time to secure your spot. I urge you to make your reservation sooner rather than later. Stay tuned for more pop-up wine tastings, a perfect opportunity to discover new wines and mingle with family and friends!

STARTING APRIL 1

A lesson will consist of learning how to operate a jonboat along with learning the best ways to catch rainbow trout. A fishing lesson can be arranged by emailing your name, your lot number, and cell phone number to me at jlipkowitz@bigcanoepoa.org. Keith will then contact you to arrange a time for the lesson. The cost will be the price of the jonboat for two hours plus a $40 lesson fee. For those who do not currently have a fishing membership, the $40 lesson fee can be applied towards a new annual fishing membership.
