La Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S.A. (CSMC) va más allá del concepto de turismo de salud para crear un programa sanitario integral al que los visitantes de la isla pudieran tener acceso. El pasado 16 de octubre, la sucursal de CSMC de Ciego de Ávila realizó un Taller de Oportunidades de Negocios en el que se evaluaron las diferentes experiencias de trabajo que se han acumulado en esa provincia del país y se exploraron las distintas posibilidades de desarrollo ante la futura reapertura del país al turismo.
The Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S.A. (CSMC) goes beyond the concept of health tourism to create a comprehensive health program to which visitors to the island could have access. On October 16th, CSMC held a Business Opportunities Workshop in its branch office in Ciego de Ávila. The meeting evaluated the work experiences that have been accumulated in that province and explored the different possibilities for development in view of the future reopening of the country to tourism.

Las palabras de apertura del taller quedaron en manos del representante de Gobierno de la Cayería Norte, Sergio Ricaño Pérez, quien alabó el trabajo de la comercializadora en el país. También se refirió a los diferentes servicios médicos y asistenciales que ofrece CSMC, entre los que destacan los académicos y docentes. Con el objetivo de llevar a cabo sus funciones de manera eficiente la comercializadora mantiene relaciones directas tanto con entidades nacionales como extranjeras, con gobiernos centrales y locales y entidades privadas o públicas, así como con personas jurídicas acreditadas que le permiten personalizar cada uno de sus servicios y programas. The opening words of the workshop were given by the representative of the Government of the Northern Cayería, Sergio Ricaño Pérez, who praised the work of the company in the country. He also referred to the different medical and assistance services offered by CSMC, particularly academic and educational services. In order to carry out its functions efficiently, the company maintains direct relations with both national and foreign institutions, with central and local governments and private and public entities, as well as with accredited legal organizations that allow it to customize each of its services and programs.

Junto a la celebración de su décimo aniversario de fundación, la CSMC busca expandir su cartera de exportaciones y la certificación y acreditación de sus clínicas. Esto incluye una ampliación de los servicios que se ofrecen en la cayería de la isla. La Dra. Yamila Ramona de Armas, presidenta de la CSMC, se refirió a la ventaja competitiva de la isla caribeña en tanto al desarrollo de su biotecnología que se ve expuesto en la creación de cinco candidatos vacunales contra la COVID-19, de los cuales tres han sido aprobados ya como vacunas. Uno de los objetivos principales de este taller es poder evaluar la capacidad de los servicios médicos cubanos ante la ocurrencia de cualquier pormenor durante la visita de un turista. El servicio médico deberá ser un valor agregado y, por tanto, altamente apreciado de los paquetes de turismo de la isla. Con la reapertura internacional del mercado del turismo, la Organización Mundial de Turismo (OMT) reconoció
que los servicios de bienestar y salud serán los que más crezcan. Los viajeros buscarán en estos momentos destinos vacacionales seguros y saludables y Cuba ofrece un panorama en el que toda la población de la isla estará inoculada contra el virus, una característica que pone al país por encima de otros destinos turísticos de la zona caribeña. Además, aunque las vacunas cubanas no serán comercializadas sí estarán a disposición de los paquetes turísticos que se ofertan, declaró la presidenta de la CSMC. Travelers will now be looking for safe and healthy vacation destinations and Cuba offers a scenario in which the entire population of the island will be inoculated against the virus, a feature that puts the country above other tourist destinations in the Caribbean area. In addition, although Cuban vaccines will not be commercialized, they will be available in the tourist packages offered, said the president of the CSMC.

Dr. Agnerys Cruz Rodríguez, Director of the CSMC in Ciego de Ávila, referred to the work of creating a safe and healthy destination in the province that includes the offer of post-COVID-19 wellness services with sea baths, marine aerosols , anti-stress and anti-lockdown therapies, as well as studies of the immune system. Además, la doctora se enfocó en la necesidad de revitalizar el programa creado en Ciego de Ávila After Sun, que ofrece un servicio para contrarrestar los daños que la exposición al sol provoca en la piel. En los momentos finales de su intervención, la doctora aseguró que de este taller se lograrán acuerdos que permitirán que cada una de las potencialidades identificadas en el territorio puedan ser explotadas.
