Top 100 largest public firms in Vietnam

BIDV ranked second among the list of 100 largest public firms in Vietnam which was first time announced by Forbes Vietnam on 30 December 2019.

The list was based on four criteria evaluated by

Forbes Vietnam: revenue, profit, total assets and capitalisation, following Forbes Global 2000 ranking method (of the 2,000 largest global companies).

Featuring on the list are 65 firms registered on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HSX), 23 firms on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCOM) and seven firms on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX). Set apart from the “50 Best Listed Companies” from the HSX and HNX, the new list includes unlisted firms on the UPCOM.

Vietnamese businesses that are on Forbes (US) Global 2000 list such as BIDV, Vietcombank, VietinBank, and Vingroup dominate the leading rankings. The top 10 saw the rise of the private sector, with five out of 10 leading positions. Large private businesses such as Vingroup, Techcombank, Hoa Phat, VPBank, THAC O and Masan Group also earned high rankings. USD636 million.
