Colorado Bicycle Summit 2012: A Vision of Better Bicycling The second-annual Colorado Bicycle Summit will take place February 6–7, 2012, in downtown Denver. Hosted by Bicycle Colorado, the summit will bring together advocates, industry leaders, on-road and off-road cyclists, elected officials and agency staff from across the state.

The inaugural 2011 summit was at capacity with 200 cycling enthusiasts and received very positive reviews from attendees and sponsors. Building on the feedback from last year, our goal is to make the 2012 summit even more memorable! As of press time, we are assembling our agenda of dynamic keynote speakers and breakout sessions for day one. We will spend the second morning of the summit at the Colorado State Capitol meeting with legislators to voice our support for betting bicycling across the state. Pro Challenge Boosts Colorado Economy Against the stunning backdrop of the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, the USA Pro Cycling Challenge got off to a speedy start this past August. The race then moved to the mountainous terrain before ending in Denver to the largest crowds for a bicycle race in America’s history. In addition to the one million Colorado spectators, 20 million viewers in 161 countries saw the race on television, according to race CEO Shawn Hunter.
