I’’m so afraid

God is our mighty fortress, always ready to help in times of trouble. And so, we won’t be afraid! Let the earth tremble and the mountains tumble into the deepest sea.

Psalm 46.1-2

“The Lord helps me! Why should I be afraid of what people can do to me?”

Hebrews 13.6b

I’m so poor Jesus said, “I tell you not to worry about your life. Don’t worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn’t life more than food or clothing? Look at the birds in the sky! They don’t plant or harvest. They don’t even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren’t you worth more than birds?”

Matthew 6.25-26

I’m so discouraged

Those who trust the Lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.

Isaiah 40.31

Keep your mind on Jesus, who put up with many insults from sinners. Then you won’t get discouraged and give up.

Hebrews 12.3

I’m so lost

If you do what the Lord wants, he will make certain each step you take is sure. The Lord will hold your hand, and if you stumble, you still won’t fall.

Psalm 37.23-24

God’s love and kindness will shine upon us like the sun that rises in the sky. On us who live in the dark shadow of death this light will shine to guide us into a life of peace.

Luke 1.78-79

I’m grieving

When I am hurting, I find comfort in your promise that leads to life.

Psalm 119.50

The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort. He comforts us when we are in trouble, so that we can share that same comfort with others in trouble.

2 Corinthians 1.3b-4

I’ve lost hope I remember something that fills me with hope. The Lord’s kindness never fails! If he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed. The Lord can always be trusted to show mercy each morning. Deep in my heart I say, “The Lord is all I need; I can depend on him!”

Lamentations 3.21-24

I’m sick

People with every kind of sickness or disease were brought to [Jesus]. Some of them had a lot of demons in them, others were thought to be crazy, and still others could not walk. But Jesus healed them all.

Matthew 4.24b

I’m so worried

When I felt my feet slipping, you came with your love and kept me steady. And when I was burdened with worries, you comforted me and made me feel secure.

Psalm 94.18-19

Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
