SECONDARY FICTION HAS CHANGED

NOW Young Adult

Important changes to our fiction collections

Changes affect Year 6-8 students

Rationale:

Given that the Evelyn Hellen library caters for students across three schools

Primary Middle Senior

we have re-instituted our Middle School collection and re-branded it as "Inbetweeners"

"Inbetweeners" is specifically targeted towards students in Years 5-8. (up to 14)

The previously known Secondary collection consists of predominantly Young Adult titles (15/16+) which contains content not suited to Year 6-8.

The ability to borrow Young Audlt titles has been disabled on self issue terminals in the library.

We recognise these policy changes may not be welcomed by all, however feel it is best for our students.

Parents are welcome to borrow "unavailable" titles from their local Public Library.
