However, many governments around the world now mandate that face coverings are required where social distancing is more difficult to achieve. Evidence[4] suggests these particles can carry a significant viral load that can survive for hours or even days. To be effective, face coverings do not need to be surgical or respiratory grade personal protective equipment (PPE). Vita Shield Face Covering Experience and Innovation The Vita Group has over 25 years’ experience supplying solutions based on materials science to medical and healthcare services. As an existing supplier of protective face coverings, Vita can leverage its technology to provide protective solutions. We have developed two versions of face coverings for different requirements. The foam in both possess the same level of chemical purity (minimum volatile organic compounds - VOCs), independently tested and are awarded the highest level of skin contact certification.

What is the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certification? OEKO-TEX is one of the world’s best-known independent labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety. In the test they take into account numerous regulated and nonregulated substances, which may be harmful to human health. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements. The foam selected for these face coverings has achieved class 1 grading, which means it is suitable for skin contact and for use with babies and toddlers. However, it is important to note our face coverings are available in adult sizes only. Please refer to health authority and government guidance on suitability of face coverings for children and vulnerable people.

Vita Shield Face Covering Benefits Protect- Vita’s face coverings are designed to protect the wearer from airborne particles as well as people around them from any droplets emitted by the wearer. Secure Fit - Comfort is key for any face covering and Vita has created its range from materials able to cover the contours of your face and securely fit over the nose and ears without causing pressure points. Extensive product testing and refinements ensure a secure and soft fit with minimal gaping. Breathable - A lightweight foam has been selected for its controlled porosity and open cell structure to allow for good breathability and functionality. The air flow has been assessed in independent testing. Washable - Please wash before use and after each use. Place in a laundry bag (or a pillowcase) and machine wash at 60°C, do not tumble dry and do not iron.

Chemical Purity - The foam in Vita’s face coverings have the minimum volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Independently tested these have been certi ied by OEKO-TEX Standard 100 class 1.

VS1 offers comfort and convenience Our VS1 face covering will perform with comfort. Carefully developed, this face covering is breathable and protects the wearer from airborne particles as well as people around them from any droplets emitted by the wearer. It has been designed to be chemically pure (minimum volatile organic compounds – VOCs) and meets the strictest OEKO-TEX standard 100, class 1 certification for skin contact. The material has been independently assessed and deemed suitable for prolonged[5] inhalation through the product, specifically for use in face covering applications. The face covering has been designed for a secure fit and its versatile shape is suitable for adults. Always follow good hygiene practices and maintain social distancing when wearing the face covering; this product may reduce the risk of spreading infection but does not give full protection to the wearer, therefore local health authority guidance must be followed in addition to using this product. Our VS1 face covering is made from one layer of soft foam, ergonomically designed to fit snugly to many face shapes. Available in one size that fits adults, this face covering is designed to be worn for short periods.

Certification: Vita cares for the health and wellbeing of those who use their products. It is important that we use foams precisely matched to the needs of those who wear these face coverings, therefore our foams have been independently tested and certified by OEKO-TEX. We have chosen foams that meet the standard 100, class 1 for use with skin contact to be used in these face coverings.

Care instructions: Reusable up to 3 washes Hand wash in cool water before use and air dry, then wash after each use. Place in a laundry bag (or a pillowcase) and machine wash at 60°C, do not tumble dry and do not iron. This product may be washed up to 3 times. Before applying the face covering please wash your hands and secure the straps comfortably behind your ears. Avoid touching your face covering while wearing it. When this product has reached the end of its life please dispose of it responsibly.

VS2 offers comfort during sustained periods of use (up to 8 hours) A sophisticated design incorporating lightweight materials to make a face covering so comfortable it can be worn for sustained periods of up to 8 hours. The material has been independently approved for prolonged[5] inhalation through the product, specifically for use in face covering applications. With soft-to-touch fabric close to the skin and shaped to hug the contours of the face, this product is available in S, M, L for the perfect fit. Able to retain its shape after machine washing, this is an ideal ‘wear-again’ face covering that retains levels of comfort for up to 8 hours. Feel safe in the knowledge of Vita’s experience in working with flexible polyurethane foams for close contact to the skin. Carefully developed, this face covering is breathable yet protects the wearer from airborne particles as well as people around them from any droplets emitted by the wearer. VS2 has demonstrated 90% Bacteria Filtration Efficiency (BFE) when tested in accordance with EN14683 (Medical face masks - Requirements and test methods). This result exceeds the specification set in the Belgium and French standards for community masks of >70% BFE.

To decide the correct size, please measure from the bridge of your nose to below your chin (see point A to point B) and refer to the size table for suitable size.
