Office for Life Sciences Bulletin – 19 February 2021
OLS Introduction The Office for Life Sciences (OLS) is a joint unit between the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) and Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS). This bulletin aims to keep the life sciences sector up to date on the latest guidance and during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, providing you with information from Government to help your members and networks prepare. News NEW – Government is seeking views on its proposed approach for establishing a bespoke UK-wide subsidy control regime. The Life Sciences sector has a crucial role to play in designing this new system which will aim to be more dynamic in supporting innovative, R&Dfocused industries, and encourage job creation and growth. The consultation closes on 31 March 2021, after which new legislation will be delivered based on departmental and parliamentary timelines. More information on the consultation can be found here.
