Spearfish Middle School 2019 Fall Activities meeting will be Sunday, August 18, at 5:00 p.m. in the middle school gym. This meeting is for any students that are wanting to participate in cross country, football, and volleyball. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are eligible to compete in cross country, 7th and 8th grade female students are eligible to participate in volleyball, and 7th and 8th grade males are eligible to compete in football. Our first practice for each of these activities will take place on August 22, with times TBD as dates get closer. Impact testing and a sports physical must be completed for volleyball and football before athletes can participate in practice or competitions. During storms or poor weather the general policy will be to conduct school. All bus routes may not operate. Students who miss school because of inclement weather will be allowed to make up work, per building policy. In the event of severe storms or emergencies which would require school closing, announcements will be made over local radio and TV stations as early as possible.
