Full-Time Industrial Electrician/PLC Programmer
Minerals Technologies - American Colloid Div.
The Industrial Electrician/PLC Programmer is responsible to support programming, troubleshooting, calibration, project implementation and network integration as well as supporting the manufacturing maintenance team on a PLC/ Electrical related issues. This position requires a high level of responsibility towards keeping the automated industrial control systems current, troubleshooting and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. Performance of all jobs must be conducted safely, efficiently and accurately. Wage DOE Primary Duties will include but are not limited to: Build, perform repairs and/or do modifications to equipment, and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level. Effectively maintain programming, hardware networking and communication. Drive plant control system upgrades. Diagnose and correct PLC programming problems to minimize downtime. Diagnose, repair and or replace electrical components of machines. New equipment installations. Requires standing, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs. Minimum Hiring Requirements: High School graduate/GED. 2 Year Trade school degree recommended. A high level of understanding of proactive and preventive maintenance. Must be available after hours, emergencies and or any shift as per Maintenance/Plant managers request. Should have process knowledge of plant milling, drying, conveying, elevators, etc. Ability to climb ladders and stairs. Minimum of 5 years experience in troubleshooting, repairing, programming and installing electrical control equipment in a manufacturing environment. 3-5 years PLC programming experience. Formal education in a related field is strongly desired. 2-4 years maintnance mechanic experience. Familiarity with PLC hardware and software. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge and use of AutoCAD is a plus. Skills with pneumatic and hydraulic applicaions is a plus. Electrical and PLC Programming required. Intermediate computer skills required for CMMS. Be able to travel as needed for training classes. Also required will be MSHA safety training, Site specific training, Continuous on the job training, and Mobile equipment training if needed. Hershey is a gentle and quiet cat. She was a scared stray. Still a bit nervous, but she has come a long way with people and really enjoys calm attention. Hershey is such a polite kitty that will just sit there sweetly asking for pets. She will do great in a home with less noise and activity. Come give this sweetie pie a visit!

Put a miniature tree in their room and let them decorate it with shatterproof ornaments. Many tiny trees come with battery-powered LED lights for more safety and shine.
Make Santa a plate
Grab a plain white plate and hit the local arts and crafts store for Sharpies in all your kids’ favorite colors. Let them draw on the clean plate, then put the plate in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Let the plates cool in the oven before removing them.
Wrap it up
Leave the markers out and grab a roll of butcher paper for your own, custom-made gift wrap.
Go retro
Remember that box of Christmas ornaments you have from your childhood? Get them out and let your kids recreate your holiday prizes like clothespin snowflakes. Show off your own handiwork while creating new memories of your own. P.S.: These make great gifts for the grands.
Cookie dough ornaments
We all made these, right? Take
four cups of flour and mix with 1 ½ cups of water and ½ cup of salt until it becomes a soft dough. Roll it out and go to town with cookie cutters, fingerprints and pencils. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes and, as soon as their out, poke a hole in each still-soft cookie for hanging. Spray cooled cookies with a clear protective coating.
Make a gingerbread house
There are a variety of gingerbread house (barn, castle, skyscraper) kits on the market that will appeal to children of all ages. Pick one up at your local grocer or craft store and make some memories with the whole family. Just remember not to take a bite; these kits are made for sturdy crafting, not necessarily eating.

Holiday Recipe: Gingerbread Cake Gingerbread can be fluffy like a cake or crisp like a thin cookie. This makes gingerbread the perfect versatile holiday treat. Whip up this fluffy gingerbread cake by King Arthur flour, warm up a cup of tea and watch the snow fall for an afternoon. 2 cups all-purpose flour ¼ cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cloves ¼ teaspoon nutmeg ½ cup unsalted butter, melted ¾ cup molasses ¼ cup water 1 egg 1 cup buttermilk ½ cup diced crystallized ginger (optional) 1. Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, ginger,
cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add the molasses to the melted butter, then to the dry ingredients, mixing to moisten. Add the water and stir. 3. Whisk together the egg and buttermilk, then stir into the batter. Add the crystallized ginger, if using. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 3035 minutes, or until the sides just begin to pull away from the pan. 4. Remove from the oven and cool for 15 minutes before slicing.

Gift-wrapping tips and tricks

uch of the focus of each holiday season is on giftgiving, but all those gifts will eventually need to be wrapped.
