From the moment you drop your camper off at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center to the moment they climb back in the car to go home at the end of the day, we make sure that a fun (and safe!) time is had by all. MJCC Summer Day Camp is a high-energy and busy camp day with lots of activities and transitions. Through socialization, arts and crafts, sports, games, and imaginative play, we encourage growth, inspire confidence, and provide the framework for lasting memories and friendships. Our camp is imbued with a sense of Simcha (joy), Kehila (community), Ruach (spirit), and Kef (fun). Throughout all of our programs, we encourage discovery and self-expression.

OUR STAFF It takes a great staff to make a great camp. We carefully screen and interview candidates to ensure that we hire staff who are committed, hardworking, and enthusiastic role models for kids. All of our staff undergo a criminal background check and are certified in First Aid and CPR. All camp staff participate in our intensive, multiday staff training. Many of our camp staff return to us year after year, and our campers are excited to see their favorite counselors each summer. Hi everyone! OUR CAMPS All campers will have the opportunity to play outside, explore their creativity through art and enrichment activities with our New STEAM Coordinator, jump and play in the Sportsplex (Bubble), and participate in weekly Jewish enrichment and Friday Shabbat celebrations. Each camp group has its own special twist - check out the details below!

Rising Kindergarten Full-Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Simcha gets to experience everything that makes Summer Day Camp specialdaily swimming in the Warm Pool, age-specific art and enrichment activities, and tons of outdoor play. New this Summer! Simcha campers will enjoy new classrooms located closer to the heart of camp, keeping them near the action!
KEHILA
Kehila: Grades 1 - 2

The Kehila crew brings the energy! With a full day of swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and Jewish enrichment, Kehila campers thrive on friendship, structure, and fun.
CiT: Grades 7 - 9 Campers should register for the grade they are rising into for fall 2026. Please note: Campers must be fully potty-trained (no diapers or pull-ups).
SABABA Ages 3 - 4
Half-Day: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Full-Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Sababa Camp is the perfect first step into the world of summer fun! Designed especially for preschoolers, campers build confidence, practice teamwork, and learn new routines through hands-on play, art, music, and outdoor adventures. Sababa campers enjoy the comfort of our exclusive PJA Early Childhood classrooms, perfectly suited to their age and needs. 3 | MJCC Summer Day Camp

RUACH
Rising 3rd - 4th Grade Full-Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Ruach means “spirit,” and this group truly embodies it! Tailored for curious and energetic campers, Ruach encourages teamwork, creativity, and independence. Whether they’re crafting, playing sports, or collaborating on group projects, campers in Ruach have space to express themselves and grow. Often combining into one big group, it’s all about community and connection.
KEF
Rising 5th - 6th Grade Full-Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Kef means “fun” and that’s exactly what this group delivers! For our adventurous older campers, Kef offers a balance of structured activities and camper-led experiences that inspire leadership and independence.

Counselors in Training Rising 7th - 9th Grade Full-Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Exclusive to Kef: We take the fun off-site with weekly field trips (included in the cost)!
Our CiT program is the perfect blend of leadership and play! Teens gain valuable skills by shadowing counselors, assisting campers, and taking part in leadership sessions led by the CiT Unit Head. CiTs serve as role models, help with activities, and enjoy their own fun, with daily swimming and weekly field trips.

New this summer! Extend the fun before and after Camp with our Kick-Off and Encore Weeks. These weeks offer a highenergy mix of sports, gymnastics, arts and crafts, games, and daily swimming all led by our amazing camp counselors.

REGISTRATION DETAILS • Member registration* opens February 24, 2026, and registration will open to all on February 25, 2026. • Members and guests will register through our Daxko registration system. • Camp registrations for each week are accepted through Thursday of the previous week. We make every effort to accommodate late registrations after Thursday. Call 971.803.7311 for any late registrations. • Payment is due at the time of registration.

• Enrollment fees totaling $500 or less must be paid in full at the time of registration and may be paid by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or AMEX. • Enrollment fees over $500 may be split into two payments (with a valid credit card on file): one at the time of registration and the other on or before May 31, 2026. The second payment will automatically be charged on May 31, 2026. This payment option requires registration to be done in-house. Please contact Holden Regnier at 971.254.8332.
*Campers must be on an MJCC Membership prior to enrolling in order to access member rates and early registration. Additionally, campers must be on the membership through the end of the registered program. We cannot retroactively honor member rates. oregonjcc.org/daycamp

INCLUSION Our summer camp is a place where values are taught, community is developed, and friendships and memories are made. Our mission is to provide a successful camp experience for campers with various needs and backgrounds. MJCC Day Camp is a high sensory experience, and our days are filled with lots of activities and lots of transitions.

CALM SPACES Our Calm Space is a dedicated room for campers who may need time and space away from their group. Campers may come and go from this space as needed. If a camper ever feels overwhelmed, overstimulated, or just needs some alone time, this space will have sensory friendly games and counselors available to support them. Each camp room will also have a “quiet corner” which campers can utilize whenever they need. oregonjcc.org/daycamp

IMPORTANT INFORMATION SWIMMING Our Simcha, Kehila, Ruach, and Kef campers get in the pool each day. It is one of the great benefits of MJCC Summer Day Camp! We have an outstanding aquatic facility that allows kids to enjoy the water safely under the close supervision of Red Cross certified lifeguards. Please note: Sababa campers do not swim during MJCC Summer Day Camp. A swim assessment is required for all campers. Life jackets will be available for all swimmers. Please bring your own towel.
LUNCH + SNACK Bring a meat-free and shellfish-free lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle. Camp does not provide snacks or water bottles. You may also order your camper a lunch from Cafe at the J to be delivered to them at camp. Menu options, order forms, and veggie lunch ideas to pack for your camper are available at: oregonjcc.org/daycamp-info.
Cancellations will incur a $25 processing fee per child per camp. Cancellations made within 21 days of the start of each registered week will not be refunded. MJCC Day Camp reserves the right to cancel camp programs due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Should cancellations occur, Day Camp staff will contact the parents/guardians prior to the camp and refunds or transfers will be given. MJCC Day Camp also reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose behavior violates our Behavior Agreement, in which case no refund is given. The Behavior Agreement can be found on our website. Please review the Behavior Agreement with your camper.
