Caterpillar Room
Welcome
Welcome to the Caterpillar room - here we provide a warm and loving environment for your little one so they can grow and thrive. Care can begin from 3 months old to around their first year of life. We work with each baby’s needs and preferences to create a nurturing environment that feels like home. Our goal is to help all of our babies develop the skills they need to transition smoothly to the next stage within the nursery, preparing them for the move into Ladybirds 1.

Our room Every day in the Caterpillar room, we start the morning with a cheerful "welcome" song that sets the perfect tone for the day ahead. As soon as the little ones enter, they are greeted with smiles - we aim to create an atmosphere of warmth and excitement. Our nursery room is thoughtfully designed to encourage exploration and discovery. We've created dedicated areas where babies can freely roam and delve into their curiosity. One such corner is our role-play kitchen area, complete with pots and pans just waiting to be explored. We also have a cozy reading corner, offering a quiet area for some downtime. Here, surrounded by cushions and soft blankets, your little one can unwind with a storybook or nursery rhyme. We like to keep things exciting for the babies, by occasionally adding our space - like the ball pit, filled with a mix of smooth and textured sensory balls to encourage playful interaction. At our nursery, every day is an invitation to explore, learn, and grow. We can't wait to welcome your little one into our nurturing environment.

Activities Every day, we venture outdoors with our little ones to explore nature - whether it's a visit to our local park or a playful adventure in our own secure garden space, we ensure that babies have a dedicated area to explore and revel in the outdoors. In addition to our outings, we offer a range of engaging activities designed to stimulate their senses and ignite their curiosity. One of the favorites among our babies is our sensory bottles. These mesmerizing bottles are filled with an array of colors, textures, and floating objects, creating a sensory experience that captivates their imagination and enhances their sensory development. Another favorite activity is our edible messy play! It’s a chance for babies to dive into a world of colorful pasta or creamy yogurt based paints, exploring a multitude of tastes and textures in a safe and supervised environment. Our dedicated team takes great pride in introducing the little ones to a diverse range of age-appropriate activities, tailored to their individual needs and interests. Our primary goal is to provide a nurturing environment where babies can explore, learn, and grow.

Our sleep room Welcome to our sleep room, each child has their own sleep cot, ensuring they have a personal space that feels safe and familiar. The cots are equipped with their own blankets and any other comforters provided. In these rooms we take special care to maintain a peaceful atmosphere, with gentle lighting, soft music, and comforting rituals to lull them into a sleep. We understand that every child is unique, and we aim to accommodate their individual needs whenever possible. With a good sleep, the little ones wake up refreshed, ready to embrace a new day!
Everyday Essentials Pegs for our Caterpillar babies can be found just outside the room, conveniently located on both sides and also near the stair door. This ensures easy access and organization for their belongings. Each child should have a set of spare clothes, indoor shoes or slippers, and outdoor shoes. In colder weather, we kindly ask parents to provide a warm hat, gloves, scarf, and coat. For rainy days, waterproofs are essential, and during hot weather, a sun hat is a must-have. To avoid any mix-ups, please make sure to label all clothing items with your child's name. This helps us keep everything in order and prevents any items from getting lost or misplaced. To keep all these items together, we request that they be provided in a fabric bag made of crochet, felt, or canvas. This ensures durability and easy storage for your child's belongings.
