Welcome At Busy Bees, we specialize in caring for curious toddlers aged 2-3 years old. Our mission is to create a safe and fun environment where your child can explore, learn, and discover themselves.

Our activities are based on your child's interests, allowing them to lead the way.

We believe in nurturing independence and curiosity, so we tailor our activities to support these qualities.

One important aspect of our care is helping your child take their first steps towards independence. This includes encouraging toilet training, fostering an interest in this important milestone.

Our ultimate goal is to prepare your toddlers for their next adventure at our nursery - pre-school consists of both River-Room and Butterflies. Here, they'll continue to develop the skills they need for a smooth transition to school life.

As well as our regular team, we have our own, internal supply team. This part of the team is rotated between the rooms, to offer extra support where it is needed.

Our room At Busy Bees, we've designed our rooms with your child's independence at the forefront. We believe that fostering a curious and inquisitive mind is a key aspect of early childhood development. Here's a peek at how our rooms encourage your child's growth: Main Room: In our main room, children are welcomed with an activity table for hands-on learning and creative play.

Nearby, is a messy play and also a cosy story corner by the window.

Gross Motor Skills Room: Our gross motor skills room is an active playground. Children explore wooden and soft blocks, and have a blast in our sensory ball pit. Here, they build physical abilities while having fun.

Home Room: Our home room mimics a home life - It features a kitchen area for imaginative play, a bedroom for doll naps and a dress-up corner for creative adventures.

Toilets and Toilet Training: We've child-sized toilets to aid your child's journey towards independence. It's where they learn self-care basics, like always washing hands, as they move toward becoming nappy-free.

Activities At Busy Bees, we believe that children learn best when they lead the way. That's why our weekly activities are all about following their interests and curiosity. You can stay updated on our adventures through the boards in our hallway.

Child-led Exploring; Your child shapes their learning journey. For example, If a walk turns into an exciting encounter with a "nee-naw" (our word for a fire engine), we dive into the world of emergency services. We believe in letting their curiosity set the course.

Outings; Sometimes, we venture outside to create lasting memories. A favourite is the a trip to the museum, where kids get close to interactive play. But that's just one stop during your time here at Busy Bees!

Woodland Adventure; Children also get the chance to explore our secure woodland area at the back of the nursery. Here, they go on bug hunts and create mud potions, fostering a connection with nature.

Other activities includes messy play, baking, crafting, playdough fun, spray painting, outdoor chalk drawing, jigsaws, puzzles and much more!

Transitioning At Busy Bees, we help your child grow into an independent learner, getting them ready for preschool (Rainbow and River Room). Here's how we do it: Exploring Choices: Children freely choose activities, moving between rooms. Our attentive staff ensures a safe and fun environment.

Daily Tasks: Children take on daily tasks like snack helpers, learning teamwork and responsibility.

Walks Together: During outdoor trips, children hold hoops to stay together, making learning fun while exploring outdoors on their feet.

Mealtime Skills: Whenever possible, kids serve themselves, collect water cups and tidy up, nurturing self-sufficiency and responsibility.

Toilet Training Teamwork: Toilet training is a joint effort between home and nursery. Our staff are ready to support you and discuss the best approach to use.

Preparing for Preschool: We help your child build these skills and confidence before moving to the Rainbow and River Rooms - we do this through our music classes in the Multi-Purpose Room, taught by an external teacher, making learning fun and engaging!

Everyday Essentials Pegs for our Busy Bees can be in our hall way. This ensures easy access and organization for their belongings.

Each child should have a set of spare clothes, indoor shoes or slippers, and outdoor shoes. In colder weather, we kindly ask parents to provide a warm hat, gloves, scarf, and coat. For rainy days, waterproofs are essential, and during hot weather, a sun hat is a must-have. To avoid any mix-ups, please make sure to label all clothing items with your child's name. This helps us keep everything in order and prevents any items from getting lost or misplaced.

To keep all these items together, we request that they be provided in a fabric bag made of crochet, felt, or canvas.

This ensures durability and easy storage for your child's belongings.
