Although we have been experiencing a seasonal uptick in inventory for the past few months, growth in active listings over the past few weeks has become much more meaningful, especially to buyers who have been dealing with low inventory. With the acceleration in the pace of inventory coming online, buyers will begin to have more options to choose from than they’ve seen in several years.

Sprouts Farmers Market coming to Lancaster Lancaster city officials announced the groundbreaking of a Sprouts Farmers Market on the corner of Avenue K and 15th Street West. They said the project will also include notable tenants like Quick Quack Car Wash, Dutch Bros, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, and more. The first tenants will begin opening in late 2022, with Sprouts targeting an early 2023 opening date.

City Highlight The area of Quartz Hill, an unincorporated community on the Antelope Valley’s west side, has managed to maintain its small-town charm while Lancaster and Palmdale boomed around it. The town’s small commercial strip sits in an area that was once farm and ranch lands settled by pioneering families.

craft projects for Paper Flowers Start by choosing your colors – one large cupcake liner and one mini cupcake liner.

Then flatten them out a little bit so they are easier to fold. Fold the cupcake liner in half.

Then fold it in half again, again and again.

You’ll be folding the cupcake liner in half FOUR times so you end up with eight petals.

Cut a curve into the cupcake liner, starting your cut on the folded edge. Unfold your flowers and attached it to construction paper or paint a popsicle stick green for stem!

I Love You Because Flowers Cut out a large circle from foam sheet or construction paper. Cut out smaller petals from construction paper and glue them to the center circle (multiple colors recommended). Write "I Love You Because" on the center and reasons you love Mom on the petals. Attach to a pipe cleaner and fill a vase with them for Mom!

Tips for Decorating

Small Spaces

Paint and decorate in neutral colors.

Light blues, greens and neutrals make the space appear larger.

Watch your ceilings. If you have low ceilings, stay away from tall furniture that will draw attention to it.

Add mirrors for light. Hang them vertically to make the room appear taller or horizontally for width.

Use striped patterns. Your eye will expand the room in direction of the lines, tricking the eye to think it's bigger.

Use furniture wisely. Try using one large piece as a focal point and accessorize with other small objects.

Remove the clutter. Of course, reducing items will expand the room and help your home to sell faster too!
