A Shift in the Housing Market CHECK OUT THE LATEST MARKET ANALYSIS The housing market remained highly competitive in May 2022. It was mainly due to rising interest rates and the low housing inventory which is keeping the sense of urgency to buy among the prospective homebuyers.

What this means for Sellers Even with the increase in inventory, the supply of homes on the market is still moderately low. Market competitiveness is less heated than a few months ago, but still remains elevated. The median days that a house is on the market is still less than three weeks. Homes that come on the market that are in good condition and priced appropriately are still seeing immediate activity and still sometimes multiple offers.

What this means for Buyers With interest rates expected to rise and home prices expected to increase slightly in the remainder of 2022, the affordability challenge for first-time buyers continues. With more inventory coming on the market, we are seeing some balance in buyingpower. Also with the inventory increase, there is less competition with multiple offers on every property and even though prices are expected to slightly increase, it won't be at the rate we have seen in the last two years.

Summer Ready

Schedule a Maintenance for Your A/C. Prevent having an issues in the middle of a heat wave by doing some proactive maintenance and changing any filters.

Clean Windows and Screens.

Remove those screens and wash them with warm soapy water - making your clean windows even better!

Clean Gutters and Downspouts.

Ensure that any summer rain storms don't cause problems by removing any debris.

Power Wash.

Break out the power washer and clean off the driveway, sidewalks and patio.

Now you are ready to entertain!

Summer BBQ Tips Deep clean your BBQ before grilling season starts.

Reduce the risk of fire and ensure even grilling temperatures by cleaning your grates and drip pans.

Use oil. Grills cook things and need oil to keep food from sticking. Before you turn on the grill, lather up a paper towel with cooking oil and rub it all over the grate.

Wait 5 minutes. You want to wait for the grill to heat up after you've turned it on or lit the charcoal.

If you're using a charcoal grill and start the fire with lighter fluid, then you want to wait longer so that the lighter fluid has burned off and doesn't get into your food.

Don't use water. If your grill is a little too hot and fire-y, cover the grill with whatever lid it has. Do not add water! Water will make the fire grow, whereas covering it will cut off the oxygen and kill the fire.
