S: SPECIFIC
Are you clear on what it is you’re looking to accomplish? Why do you wish to accomplish this? How will this benefit you/your family/others? Where will you accomplish this and what are the barriers in place that may keep you from accomplishing this?
M: MEASURABLE
How will you know when you accomplish this? Do you have milestones that can be tracked along the way to help ensure you’re on course? Can you build a process or system to help you focus and stay on track as you review your progress?
A: ACHIEVABLE
Do your actions align with a realistic time frame? Are you pushing yourself while setting yourself up for success?
R: RELEVANT
Will this make a difference in your life? When accomplished, will you look back and be proud of your journey? Will it resonate with your plan for growth? Will it accelerate your productivity and ultimately will help you live your best life?
T: TIME BOUND
What is the time frame you have placed on your goal? Will this help you keep it T.O.M? Without time-frames, goals become wished and everything else in your day will take priority. Your daily activities and goals will expand to the time you allot to them, so it’s important to be clear and concise with setting these limits.
