John N. Tolman and his partner drove cattle into the rugged Montana/Wyoming region and began to establish the Dilworth Cattle Co.

1889

John N. Tolman Sr. filed for homestead on upper Bennett Creek

1890

Wyoming became 44th State in the Union

1891

First National Forest Reserve established, later became the Shoshone National Forest

Bennett Creek “Homestead Place “Area

The Bennett Creek Homestead Place area is offered as two (2) parcels totaling approximately 489 acres The dramatic Beartooth Mountains provide the Spectacular backdrop for the offered parcels. Hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreational opportunities are truly unlimited within the 944,000 acres of the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness.

Bennett creek flows through the homestead, bordered by the national forest and the “Osburn 80” completely surrounded by forest, commonly referred as an “inholding”.

The parcel is rectangular in shape and level to steep topography.

Natural Water Springs are on the parcel, adding to the ideal wildlife habitat, providing water for USFS grazing lease that conveys with the parcel.

The US forest service grazing lease authorizes approximately 510 AUMs & the BLM Canyonland allotment authorizes approx. 127 AUMs to run cattle.

Northwest of Clark, Wyoming, bordering the Montana state line, “Line Creek” (the creek is on the state line) boils down from the mighty Beartooth plateau.

This area is situated along the South boundary of Montana State line, bordered by Line Creek to the South, and the mighty Clarks Fork to the East.

To the East of the property, several adjacent BLM sections provide direct access to the Clark’s Fork River. Several natural springs are present, some have been developed and currently are used for watering livestock.

BLM grazing leases are attached to the property, allotments totaling 235 AUMS to be conveyed as leaseholds with the subject property.
