By Laura Coleman When Beverly Hills voters head to the polls on Tuesday to cast their votes for two open seats on the Board of Education, they will have the opportunity to shape the City’s future by influencing the trajectory of a board that is instrumental to not only how Beverly Hills schools and education are structured, but also in the district’s fight against Metro.

Incumbent boardmember and life-long Beverly Hills resident Lisa Korbatov, who was voted onto the board in 2009, has been a tireless advocate for Beverly Hills in the fight against running a subway tunnel directly under the heart of the City’s only high school.
