OSCAR NOMINEES NAMED IN BEVERLY HILLS
By Matt Lopez Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (pictured above) will host Hollywood’s biggest stars as they descend upon Beverly Hills this Sunday, Jan. 13 for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards at 7 p.m. at The Beverly Hilton. Director Steven Spielberg’s epic Lincoln leads the pack with seven nominations including Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Actor (Drama) and Best Director. Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field also received nods for their roles in Lincoln.
By Courier staff and City News Service Beverly Hills’ Samuel Goldwyn Theatre played host to yesterday’s. nominations announcement for the 85th Annual Academy Awards, with Director Steven Spielberg’s historical drama Lincoln nabbing 12 Oscar nominations, including best picture and best director. Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi received 11 nominations, while the musical Les Miserables, directed by Tom Hooper, and David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook tied with eight nods each. Argo received seven nominations.
