BHA was honored to be part of the Savera UK Women’s Event, a beautifully organised, welcoming and safe space where women could come together, connect and support one another.
We had the amazing opportunity to speak with so many women about women’s health, breaking stigmas, and raising awareness.
We’re proud to partner with the Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance to deliver breast and prostate cancer awareness interventions across Liverpool.
With a focus on minoritised ethnic communities— who are disproportionately impacted by these cancers we’ll work closely with local residents to improve access to information and promote early detection.
BHA partnered with Savera UK to deliver a Women’s Sexual Health and Wellbeing workshop, creating a safe, supportive space for women to openly discuss topics related to sexual health.

BHA Liverpool were funded by Gilead Sciences to conduct a community research study throughout 2024. The study aimed at understanding levels of knowledge, access and take up of services and HIV related stigma among Liverpool’s ethnic minoritised populations.
Findings revealed gaps in knowledge of combination prevention methods, and low uptake and access to sexual health services, which were often influenced by socioeconomic disadvantages, stigma, language barriers, and the lack of culturally tailored resources.
The report recommends strategies to improve HIV education, information, and service accessibility within ethnic communities.
