Fitness Suite

Hockey is one of the most popular timetabled and co-curricular sporting activities among students from Years 3 to Upper Sixth. With expert coaching and our own all-weather pitch, we are able to offer a style and pace of play that stretches the students to reach their full potential.

All students enjoy receiving precisely the right level of coaching for their stage of skill and development. Dedicated hockey coaching also means we are able to offer hockey all year round, not just through the Autumn Term.

We regularly field as many as 20 teams on a single day during any given Saturday in the Autumn Term, ensuring everyone can represent the school in a team which is at the right level for them.

We also offer both before and after school training sessions, for outfield players and goalkeepers, and always run pre-season hockey training in September delivered by the excellent MT13 coaching company. We also run coaching during the half term and Easter holidays from top level coaches and international hockey players.

We excel at hockey, often winning both regional and national level competitions across age ranges. Every year a large number of our students represent club, county and national teams, continuing to play the game at university and beyond.
