Looking Ahead

As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 season, the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus stands at an exciting moment of momentum, growth, and renewed purpose. The year behind us reaffirmed what we have long known to be true: BGMC is not only a musical institution, but a cultural force—one that brings people together, challenges assumptions, and creates space for joy, reflection, and change.

The coming season builds intentionally on that foundation. Artistically, 2025–2026 will offer a bold and balanced repertoire that honors tradition while embracing innovation. From the warmth and wonder of Holigays, to the energy and discovery of Rising Stars, to the powerful storytelling of She Persisted, and the expansive vision of RISE, each production has been designed to meet our audiences where they are—while inviting them to imagine what comes next. Together, these programs reflect our commitment to musical excellence, emotional connection, and relevance in a rapidly changing world.

Beyond the stage, the year ahead marks a strategic evolution in how BGMC connects with its community. We are deepening our focus on audience development, storytelling, and access—using data-informed marketing, clearer patron pathways, and more intentional partnerships to ensure that our concerts reach both longtime supporters and new audiences alike. Our goal is not simply to sell tickets, but to build lasting relationships rooted in shared values and shared experiences.

Equally important is our continued investment in people. In 2025–2026, BGMC will strengthen the infrastructure that supports our singers, staff, volunteers, and partners—recognizing that sustainable growth depends on care, clarity, and collaboration. From expanding our marketing and engagement capacity to refining sponsorship and community partnerships, we are aligning our internal systems with the scale and ambition of our mission.

At the heart of it all remains our purpose: to change hearts and minds through music, to offer a visible and affirming presence for the LGBTQ+ community, and to create performances that make us—and our audiences—proud. As we move into the 2025–2026 season, we do so with confidence, gratitude, and an unwavering belief in the power of collective voices raised together.

The future of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus is bright—and it is built, as always, on community.

Letter from Leadership

We are delighted to share that BGMC has completed another extraordinary season—one marked by powerful music, deep connection, and a renewed sense of momentum. Throughout the year, our stages came alive with performances that celebrated joy, resilience, and the remarkable talent within our chorus, reminding us why this work matters now more than ever.

Together, we welcomed thousands of audience members into concert halls across Greater Boston, creating shared moments of inspiration and belonging. With more than 200 dedicated singers lending their voices, BGMC continued to demonstrate the extraordinary impact of community music-making and the strength that comes from singing together.

This season also reflected our continued growth and evolution as an organization. Building on recent successes, we expanded our reach, deepened relationships with audiences both new and returning, and strengthened our presence across the region—ensuring that our music resonates far beyond a single performance. At the heart of the season was our ongoing commitment to community, visibility, and advocacy. Through partnerships, storytelling, and intentional programming, BGMC used the stage as a platform to celebrate diversity, affirm LGBTQ+ lives, and promote a message of inclusion and pride. Each performance was more than a concert—it was a declaration of who we are and the future we are working to create.

As we reflect on the 2024–2025 season, we are reminded that BGMC is about more than music alone. It is about building a welcoming home, amplifying voices, and fostering connection through artistry. None of this would be possible without your steadfast support. Because of you, we continue to grow, to dream boldly, and to ensure that every voice is heard.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
