Annual Performance Assessment We use an employee-led self-assessment and goal planning process. This ensures employees and their team leaders can work together to accomplish personal goals for the following year.
EDGE eLearning Employees have access to training courses covering anything from Microsoft applications to public speaking.
Professional Licenses/ Certifications BGE will pay all fees associated with professional registrations in the states in which we practice.
Professional Society Membership BGE will reimburse one membership in which you are actively engaged.
External Conferences and Training Our employees are encouraged to attend industry conferences, seminars and training. With approval, expenses for these events are reimbursable.
Education Reimbursement BGE reimburses specific educational fees for continuing education at a maximum annual amount of $2,500.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Imagine BGE as your career springboard. Our annual summer internship programs give you a chance to learn from and collaborate with seasoned professionals. It may open the door to full-time employment in an environment where education never stops. We don’t just pass off piles of work when our interns walk through the door; we show them what’s possible at BGE and in their future careers. We welcome them with company presentations, meet-and-greets and even business etiquette sessions! We also challenge the interns each summer to create something new or develop an idea to improve current practices and benefit the world around them.

Andrew interned with BGE on three different occasions before joining full-time as an engineerin-training in June 2020. During his extended time as an intern with BGE, he received hands-on engineering experience and worked with many professional engineers to help prepare him for the next step in his career. It allowed me to gain real-world experience while I was still in school. The experience helped me better understand my coursework, which helped me better understand the work I was doing in my internships. I enjoyed the people I worked around and how willing everyone was to help me learn and teach me in a way that wasn’t too hard or too easy.”

Daiquan interned with BGE twice, and he recently joined BGE’s Construction Management team full‑time in June 2020. As an intern near the end of his collegiate journey, he focused on life after college. The internship provided me with the insight of what I will be doing after graduation. It allowed me to see what the schools do not lecture you about. I most enjoyed working in the field and getting hands-on experience.”
