As a Spiritual Commentator I knew that we had to cover this movie in this season’s issue. Why? Well, for years, the poisoning of our Communities have been an urban myth. The Spiritual language of deception has always been to SHOW you the deception and then tell you that you didn’t SEE what you saw! Being “woke” is ok as long as you’re not toowoke. They Cloned Tyrone uses problematic, popular Black ideologies and activities to reveal mind control and the consumerism of people that are complicit and complacent in less-than-ideal situations making them vulnerable to manipulation. This film is for the woke community, and if you're not woke, it will nudge you.

This movie takes place in the Glen. The Glen felt very familiar to me, as well as the characters. When It becomes clear that everything in the Glen is one big experiment to control the Black people who live there. Whether it's the fried chicken or the perm cream; there's something injected into the products aimed at mind control.

Humph!!! Do you research: the chicken sandwiches of one of favorite, beloved Fast Food franchise is made up of 53 ingredients. The famous chicken sandwich has 55 ingredients, including MSG, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate, Potassium Iodate, and Dimethylpolysiloxane. Like you, I had to research all of these additives which are linked to several health risks, and some are even banned in other countries.

Coincidentally reports of the long term damage that chemical relaxers can do to your skin and hair is ever unfolding. All for the sake of assimilating; this chemical process leaves the hair weak, brittle and prone to breakage. It can even burn your skin, cause permanent damage to the scalp and lead to hair loss.

Now you tell me; is THEY CLONED TYRONE purely an artistic coincidence or is this a resounding call of the wake up bell?

How did you get started with your business?

Leah's Life Collective has been in my heart for years! I've began serious journaling about a year ago, after several start/stops and internal resistances. Once my heart aligned with the heart of the Lord, I was able to officially launched online in April of 2023, as published author.

Who do you look up to in business and why?

I always say that if I could meet one person in this world it would be Tyler Perry. I have a always admired him as an actor and producer, but once I read his book ' Higher Is Calling' I feel so much more connected to him, we have similar roots in our God Faith and spirituality, but I love his rag to riches story,

What advice would you give to women looking to get into your field of business?

The funny thing is, when I started becoming serious about being an author and a community advocate, I was met with so many opinions. And not the supportive kind either! People told me that Authors aren’t successful anymore because the world has turned digital. I was told that writing wouldn’t yield the result I was looking for and I should keep it to centered towards one specific niche, which people can know you for, because if I present multiple facets of myself, no one would relate to me. For years I was crippled with the thought, that it was too much of a task to take on, and it would be easier to think of something less ambitious, even though, when I sat down to write parts of my books, I would sit for hours and hours and hours, and I felt so excited to be able to tell a story….my story.

The advice I would give women, is to seek God for what your purpose is, and stay the course until He leads you in the path, you are called to blaze. I would tell women, that God has an authentic work for you, that only you can do, so don’t waste valuable time comparing you

Therefore the advice I would give women, is to seek God for what your purpose is, and stay the course until He leads you in the path, you are called to because God has an authentic work for you, that only you can do, so don't waste valuable time comparing yourselves to others. Comparison is the thief of success.

Looking back what advice would you give to your 15-year-old self?

If I had the ability to inspire my 15-year-old self, I'd continue being the star athlete I was, but I'd also try and find other professions in which my writing could be highlighted. Options are important. And we have to teach our children to do BETTER than what we have done. So younger Leah would have sought out professions that encourage, support and highlight my capacity for writing, opposed to putting all my eggs in the proverbial basket with teaching.

The Divine Science of Autumn

“If I were a bird, I would fly about the Earth seeking the successive autumns.”- George Eliot

Go ahead, Fall into it

Autumn is such a beautifully decorated seasotn. In nature it serves as a reminder of the constant cycle of change and renewal. The falling leaves and the earthy aroma of damp soil signify the beauty of Harvest. For so many, this season fosters acceptance of the things that have fallen away in their own lives. This acceptance can be therapeutic, at best fosters Spiritual and personal growth.

Autumn feels as if God, Almighty is wrapping His earth in a warm embrace to remind us that although a bitter frost is on its way-it’s not the end of His Love for us. It’s just the way that He prepares us for The Newness of Spring’s Bloom. In the soul of human emotions, Autumn occupies a unique and multi-faceted role. It evokes nostalgia, invites us to seek comfort, and reminds us of the beauty of change. As you savor the sensations of this divine season, take a moment to appreciate the subtle yet profoundly restorative impact it has on your mental well-being.

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN PIE

Are you ready for Fall Spices!!

The Foodie HHoliday oliday

This Homemade Pumpkin Pie Recipe will get you reafy!! It’s Flavorful and creamy with the perfect blend of Pumpkin Pie Spices. Delish!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup Granulated Sugar

1/2 cup Brown Sugar (packed)

1 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour

1/2 teaspoon Salt

2 teaspoons Ground Ginger

2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon Ground Cloves

3 large Eggs

2 cups Pumpkin (canned is optional!)

1 1/4 cups Evaporated Milk

Single Pie Crust

INSTRUCTIONS

In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients, mix and then set aside. In a new medium-sized mixing bowl, add eggs and beat. Add in the pumpkin and evaporated milk, stir until combined. Pour in the dry ingredients and combine together together. Now pour the pumpkin mixture in the pie crust! Place the pie pan on a cookie sheet.

Preheat the oven to 425. Bake the pie for 15 minutes at that temperature. Turn the heat down to 350 and bake for approximately 30-40 more minutes. I like to use a Pie Shield (aluminum foil) for the first 30 minutes or so, to keep the pie crust from browning too much. Cover your edges!! Once the pumpkin pie is solid and a little brown on top it’s ready to be taking out the oven!

Let it cool for 15 to 20 mins

Then serve and enjoy!!

Fall treat is ready!!

Strategies for Holiday Gift Shopping While Embracing Generational Wealth

In the world of personal finance, the holiday season brings both joy and a potential strain on our wallets. This season can sometimes cause us to take our eye off the ball and miss our target. I'm here to guide you through the maze of holiday gift shopping while also paving the way for securing your family's financial future. We need to ensure that gift giving does not only consist physical name brand or expensive items but also intangibles that will have a solid impact on our families future. By implementing savvy financial strategies, you can not only celebrate the holidays in style but also set the stage for a lasting legacy that benefits generations to come.

Holiday Gift Shopping Strategies

Budget Wisely and Start Early: The key to successful holiday gift shopping begins with setting a realistic budget. Allocating a specific amount for gifts prevents overspending and financial stress. Furthermore, starting your shopping early gives you ample time to find the best deals, avoid lastminute rushes, and make thoughtful choices.

Make a Thoughtful Gift List: Crafting a well-thought-out gift list allows you to tailor presents to each recipient's preferences. Consider creating a spreadsheet where you jot down ideas, preferences, and potential gift options for each person. This level of detail enhances the sentimental value of the gifts and makes your spending more intentional.

Leverage Cashback and Rewards: Take advantage of cashback programs and credit card rewards when making holiday purchases. These rewards can be translated into significant savings or extra funds for future financial endeavors.

Prioritize Experiences Over Material Items: Consider giving the gift of experiences rather than material possessions. Memories of shared adventures, spa days, or cooking classes often hold more value than physical items and can be cherished for years to come.

BGDB Quarterly magazine SHOWCASING Community Leaders| 11

One of the most valuable gifts you can give to your heirs is the knowledge of sound financial management. Offer financial education and mentorship to empower them to make informed decisions about their wealth. This education can foster responsible financial behavior for generations to come.

Give the gift of life insurance: Life insurance can be used for so many things, more than most people are even aware of. For example, did you know that life insurance can help with scenarios such as: retirement income, college funding and even charity giving. Additionally, you can secure a bright future for your child or grandchild by purchasing life insurance, you’re able to protect against a time when perhaps their insurability could be called into question. Not to mention, it is so inexpensive. Many illnesses can prevent someone from qualifying for life insurance coverage. By purchasing a life insurance policy when a child is still young, you are securing insurability before a serious condition manifests, should such a thing occur.

Open a Trust Fund: To ensure a lasting legacy for future generations, consider setting up a trust fund. This legal arrangement allows you to allocate assets to beneficiaries while stipulating how and when they can access the funds. Trust funds provide financial security, protect assets from excessive taxation, and allow you to pass on your wealth with control.

This holiday season, by implementing these financial strategies, you can navigate the complexities of gift shopping while also laying the foundation for generational wealth. I urge you to make the most of these strategies, embracing the joy of giving, celebrating with your loved ones, all the while securing a brighter financial future that will benefit your family for countless years to come. Mary Kay’s motto is God first, Family second and Business third. I wear multiple hats in my life: Evangelist, Mother, Daughter, Executive Director of a young adult training program, Deputy Director of a housing corporation; active on 4 boards of Directors; Kidney transplant survivor, and the list goes on. So never would I imagine that I would have the time to want or fall in love with Mary Kay. After spending 8 years, 2 months and 26 days on dialysis, I suffered through severe skin trauma, dehydration and dry patches. I found relief when I found Mary Kay skin care. In October 2021, I truthfully joined Mary Kay to get 50% off. However, I quickly learned how this company allowed me to be a blessing to dialysis patients, cancer patients, women in need , girls in group homes, seniors and children for back -to-school donations. This became my ministry in action. My love of skincare combined with my desire to be a blessing to others all while earning money. www.Marykay.com/tillybanks

AT THE KING’S TABLE

Dear KINGS in the game of checkers Ii the opponent’s piece makes it to the Kings row. The competition will take a captured checker piece and add it to the piece that now rests in the Kings row. That piece can now move forward and backward and defy the rules of the game. In this game, every piece on the board can be sacrificed, jumped, or propelled to be a King or one of many.

In the game of chess, the King is the most important piece in the game. The King can move in any direction and land on any square. The King job is to protect the Queen or to die trying. In this game, each opponent is allowed to have only one King. In this game, the Pawn will never be promoted to a King.

likewiseIn society, the King is the ultimate ruler. He is often breed to lead with every advantage of being the first son or surviving son of his rich and powerful father, "The King." So he will one day inherit his father’s position wiith a lifetime of assistance from his adviser/ counselors/ elders and armed security

A King, can be crowned with favor or used as a sacrificial pawn. My message to you my beautifully imperfect Brothers while growing into your crown seek Godly wisdom because a wise man can build his thrown on any board.

SPIRITUAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Going against what they think

Entrepreneurship isn’t just a difficult achievement; it’s a Spiritual Birthright. As a Black Business Owner, I had learned early on that Entrepreneurship is Spiritual! Look at the evil systemically oppressive world. Just a month ago I watched in horror the news report on a Black man who was attacked outside of his place of business by a white man who had been watching him run a successful restaurant. Racism is rooted in a wickedness that designed to monopolize economic power and influence.

So the moment you decide you want to become financially stable and build a legacy of wealth and influence you will meet oppressive doubters not just in the world, but from family and friends. Addressing systemic racism is a moral imperative; it doesn’t just make economies stronger, it’s a fundamental responsibility to ensure that your family have access to adequate resources and quality of life.

I suggest to you that you keep the goal in mind, knowing that nothing is impossible with God. Here are a couple steps that I suggest you take to keep you on the road. Learn to identify derailing behaviors before they happen. Such as not telling everyone your vision. Just let them see you work, and when it comes to fruition, you can tell them about it then. Learn to course-correct. What doesn’t work the second or third time around means that it’s time for a new approach. That doesn’t apply to accepting “No” for an answer! It is guaranteed that you were here no but it is your responsibility to keep knocking. Keep knocking until the door flies off of the hinges! You should be able to recognize factors of derailment regardless of points of success. Don’t wait until you have a little bit of money or what we deem success before you begin to look for a yes. You deserve a yes! The mindset of a winner is synonymous with consistency and determination which includes eliminating obstacles and avoiding unnecessary challenges. At the FPI NETWORK women are retraining themselves for success through support and training designed for the win!

IN HEALTH NEWS

As we prepare to spend time with our families, ready to break bread; let’s remember that there is an uninvited guest who sits with our loved ones. Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) is a common bacterial disease that affects the intestinal tract. Salmonella bacteria typically reside within animal and human intestines and are usually shed through stool (feces). Cases of Salmonella illness is more prevalent during the summer. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that Salmonella bacteria causes about 1.35 million infections, 26,500 hospitalizations, and 420 deaths in the United States annually. Salmonella infections are usually transmitted via feces contaminated water or food. The most common modes of transmission include the consumption of unpasteurized (raw) milk, raw or undercooked meat, poultry, and eggs.

Symptoms of salmonella usually present within 6 hours to 6 days after infection, and usually last 4 to 7 days. Some of the symptoms are diarrhea, stomach (abdominal) cramps, fever, nausea, vomiting, chills, headache and blood in the stool. Most people recover from Salmonella infections without treatment. However, some people experience more severe illness that may require hospitalization. Persons with a fever higher than 102°F, diarrhea for more than 3 days that is not improving, bloodystools, prolonged vomiting that prevents them from keeping liquids down, should contact their health care provider or visit the closest ER. Prolonged vomiting and diarrhea will cause dehydration, which can be quite dangerous. Signs of dehydration include: making little or darker urine, dry mouth/throat and dizziness upon standing. To prevent salmonella: always wash your hands after contact with animals, after using the toilet, changing diapers, or helping someone with diarrhea clean up after using the toilet. Avoid theconsumption of raw or undercooked meats and raw milk. Also, if you have a Salmonella infection, you should not prepare food or drinks for others until you no longer have diarrhea.

Market Place Wisdom for 2023

Welcome to the world of entrepreneurship! I fully believe that entrepreneurship is a calling that is not just tangible in nature, but inherently a Spiritual calling. The reason we are faced with many natural and spiritual opposition and challenges is because of the spiritual nature of entrepreneurship. You can agree that it has taken us, generations and generations, as a nation of people to be able to obtain the right to have economical wealth. The reason being that your legacy and your financial power is dependent upon your ability to move financially free in a world where gain is set up for a select few. living in a world where we are under racial and discriminatory injustice. It is not hard to believe that we would also face those same injustice when trying to obtain business loans, personal loans, and any type of gran.

Oklahoma City and the truth of Black Wall Street is not just history; but the real story for many persons of color in current America. It matters a great deal, then, that White Americans hold 84 percent of total U.S. wealth but make up only 60 percent of the population while Black Americans hold 4 percent of the wealth and make up 13 percent of the population.

Is there anything that we can do as a Nation of People?

The very first thing we need to do is to be a collective in our communities. We need to have our own banks set up our own lenders and have our own real estate developers. It’s why I believe so much in networking and networking with people like myself, people who look like me, people who know what I am trying to achieve, people who know the red tape that I am trying to cut through. It will take all of us recognizing who we are, and not looking to the celebrities and the celebrity brands, who have built their fortunes off of our backs in dollars without any respect and return.
