Silicon Valley Gives Back
Volunteers are a critical resource to the Club. While in-person volunteering was largely put on hold for the past two years, this year was marked by a strong return to the community with many volunteers and organizations supporting the Club’s work wherever they were needed.

May—Smythe Clubhouse Remodel
We are proud to recognize Venture Church for their outstanding contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs community. The church’s congregation came together to give Smythe Clubhouse a complete makeover, with almost 500 members dedicating their time and resources to cleaning, organizing, painting, landscaping, and completely refurbishing the building. The project involved everything from installing new fixtures to creating an entire mini garden, with no detail overlooked. The result is a beautifully refurbished space that youth in the community can be proud of. Thanks to Venture Church’s efforts, Smythe Clubhouse has undergone a stunning transformation that will benefit the community for years to come.
Home Depot, July—community Outreach Day

42 Home Depot employees volunteered at the Levin Clubhouse for a beautification day. They worked hard to improve the grounds, re-mulching the entire area, updating the landscaping, rebuilding planter boxes, and upgrading the space. Thanks to a generous gift of $15,000, the Levin Clubhouse was also able to purchase new gardening tools, including rakes, a lawnmower, and a new outdoor shed. These tools will enable the Club to continue providing youth with hands-on opportunities to learn about gardening and the natural world.
California’s Great America, December—WinterFest
California’s Great America donated 800 Winterfest tickets for kids & families from Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, giving them a chance to enjoy all the thrills of an amusement park and the holidays. Home Depot, Kohls, and PwC volunteers also partnered up for the event to provide a variety of activities for the kids, including arts and crafts, an ornament building station, photo booths, and a holiday buffet. We are grateful to California’s Great America and volunteers from Home Depot, Kohls, and PwC for their generosity and support of our kids and families.
