Leilani Broida (Jane Seymour) is thrilled to hit the Stars stage yet again! She’s a proud member of the Boys & Girls Club’s of Kern County award-winning youth performance team, Music Fusion, since 2020 Her Stars Theatre debut dates back to when she was 7 years old, where she played Jane Banks in Mary Poppins Jr Leilani is 13 years old and is an aspiring performer who has portrayed several roles: SpongeBob (SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical), Judah (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) Young Gloria Estefan (On Your Feet!), Annie (Annie Jr ) Young Anna (Frozen Jr ) Leilani is set to play Elsa in her school’s production of Frozen Jr this May Leilani also plays the piano, flute, and guitar Outside of performing, Leilani maintains straight A’s at school and enjoys arts and crafts and hanging out with her family and friends Leilani would like to thank her family and friends for their endless support and her vocal instructor, Mary Bellah, for her guidance. Lauren Kaff (Katherine Howard) is thrilled to be performing on the Stars Stage again Some recent credits are Shrek Jr (Dragon) with BYFAA at Stars, Matilda (Lavender) at Ovation Theatre, and Holiday Inn (Ensemble) at Stars Dinner Theatre Lauren is an active member of the Boys & Girls Club of Kern County’s exclusive performance team, Music Fusion and attends Stockdale High school Lauren would like to thank her vocal coach Amy Adams and directors of Music fusion for their longtime support A special thank you to Jill Burdick Frank Sierra, Jordan Payne, and Tessa Ogles for the opportunity to be in this incredible show Lastly, Lauren is excited to perform with this amazing cast

Claire Kirschenman (Anna Of Cleves) is a senior at BCHS and has been doing theatre since she was 6 years old Her very first show with Stage Door Academy was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and she had so much fun being the Narrator. After high school, she plans to attend Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee to earn her BA in Theatre and Drama Most recently, she played Lucy Grant in Bright Star (BCHS), Urleen in Footloose! (BCHS and Ovation Theatre), and Enseble in Oklahoma! (Ovation Theatre) She would like to thank Frank, Jill, Jordan and Tessa for gifting her a role in this show and is honored to be playing Anne of Cleves in SIX the musical

Kaya Leyendecker (Catherine Parr) has been singing, dancing and acting since the age of four Some of her favorite roles include Alice Murphy in Bright Star, Ariel in Disney’s the Little Mermaid, Frenchie in Grease, Winnie Foster in Tuck Everlasting, and Matilda in Matilda the musical Leyendecker, was a part of the Music Fusion group for 2 years and performed at the Boys & Girls Club Conference in Chicago Kaya is a senior in high school and has been working hard this year applying to and auditioning for musical theatre college programs all across the country She plans on pursuing a degree in musical theatre and performing on Broadway She would like to thank Jill and Frank for this opportunity to be a queen!

Isabella Pelayo (Catherine of Aragon) is thrilled to collaborate with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County on SIX Isabella has been a club member for a year and a half and her passion and devotion for theatre and singing has brought her to become a Music Fusion member Recent and favorite credits include The Addams Family (Alice) with The Spotlight Dance Academy and Stars Theatre, Moana (Moana) with The Spotlight Dance Academy and Fox Theater and Grease (Ensemble) with Ovation Theatre When Isabella isn't on the stage, she spends her time modeling, working with Music Fusion, and volunteering for her church group Bella gives a huge thank you to her family and friends for the endless amount of support Finally, sit back, relax, and watch her work the stage as your Aragon Queen!

Sarah Skenfield (Anne Boleyn) is a first-year English major at CSUB She has been in theatre since age 7; some of her favorite roles include playing Pharaoh (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Sally (You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown!), and Bert (Mary Poppins). Her time with Stage Door Academy started the summer after her junior year in high school She has also thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Kern County’s performance group, Music Fusion, for two years Sarah wants to extend her gratitude to Jill, Frank, Tessa, and Jordan for including her in this electric show as Anne Boleyn She also wants to thank her family for always believing in her and supporting her “Don’t Lose Ur Head” while singing along to your favorite songs!

The Stage Door Academy by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County is an organization that specializes in the education of youth in the visual and performing arts The enrichment of our children in the visual and performing arts has benefits of improving the skills of acting, singing, dancing, painting, drawing and sculpting. Since 1992, Bakersfield Music Theatre (Stars) has provided quality musical theatre training to students ages 6 to 18. Summer workshop builds core skills that will advance students in the entertainment industry and beyond! Led by professionals in the performing arts, students will rehearse and gain valuable singing, dancing, and acting training Stars' exceptional technical staff will collaborate with directors to provide top-tier costuming, lighting/sound, props, and sets The whole experience culminates with a Broadway-style performance on "the big stage" at Stars Theatre Restaurant in downtown Bakersfield bmtstars.com
