A WORD FROM...

THE CHAMBER

In 2024, we’ve seen our vision for economic prosperity and development materialize in remarkable ways. The Kentucky Transpark stands as a beacon of growth and opportunity, having expanded from its inception in 2004 with a single business, to now hosting 18 companies and providing employment to nearly 3,900 individuals with more than 2,100 jobs still on the way at facilities still under construction. This year, we proudly celebrate Bowling Green being named the #1 Economic Development Organization for areas with populations under 200,000. This accolade, marking the 11th consecutive year Bowling Green has been recognized within the top 6th or higher tier-2 metropolitan areas nationwide, is a testament to the effective collaboration and unwavering commitment of our Chamber, alongside the City and County. It reflects not only on our outstanding results but also on the positive impact this synergy has on the community. As we continue to build on this momentum, it is clear that our journey of transformation and success is far from over. Together, we are shaping a future that promises even greater achievements and opportunities for all.

THE CITY

In 2024, Bowling Green continues to forge ahead with unwavering dedication to our community’s prosperity and well-being. We are doubling down on our efforts to enhance quality of life, deliver exemplary services, and ensure fiscal stewardship. As we focus on advancing public safety, revitalizing our neighborhoods, and embracing visionary leadership, we remain steadfast in driving economic growth. Together, we embark on a journey of innovation and unity, shaping a future that reflects our shared aspirations and values. Join us as we explore new horizons and celebrate the spirit of Bowling Green.

WE CONNECT

COMMUNITY

CITY OF BOWLING GREEN

After 14 moves crisscrossing the country and three continents, City of Bowling Green Public Works Director Andy Souza and his wife Davonne decided they belong in Bowling Green.

The Souzas moved here in May 2023 when the City of Bowling Green offered Andy the job following his retirement from the United States Space Force.

“There is just a general sense of being home,” Andy said of his first impression of Bowling Green. “People are welcoming.”

Prior to applying for his job with the City, neither Andy nor his wife had ever heard of or visited Bowling Green. Davonne saw the job listing, and they both agreed Andy’s management skillset he learned in the military would be a good fit for the position here overseeing about 61 employees.

“I got this vibe that the City is a team, and I could be part of that team. The job felt right,” he said.

They moved from Vandenberg Space Force Base in a remote area of California and have enjoyed the sports, arts, cultural and food amenities here.

“Bowling Green is a melting pot of all the neat things we have seen throughout the world - good food, good people, hospitality, graciousness,” he said.

He and Davonne immediately felt connected here because of the kindness extended to them by others.

“Of all the places we’ve lived this place is very special. There’s so many things about Bowling Green that are truly very, very special. We’ve had lots of opportunity to spread our wings, and now we want to plant roots,” Davonne said.

Within the City of Bowling Green, three departments and one division have earned national accreditation through organizations that set quality and competency standards in their respective fields. Public Works, Bowling Green Police Department, Bowling Green Fire Department and the Code Compliance & Animal Protection division. Additionally, the Communications division within the police department earned state accreditation.

In addition to being customer-focused in all we do, we donate time and resources to area schools and non-profits through sponsorships and event participation throughout the year. Everyone coming together to meet the needs of this community is what makes Bowling Green so special. We are proud to live and serve here and know that when we all work together, great things happen. We

“Change can be exciting, but also a little scary. Moving you and your family 120 miles from where you’ve lived most of your life counts as a REALLY big change! Luckily, my family and I settled in right before the school year started and never looked back. The kids, who of course didn’t want to leave their friends, absolutely love their schools and the new friends they’ve made since coming here. Bowling Green felt like home to all of us after almost no time at all, and we’ve all enjoyed discovering what the community has to offer. Everyone we’ve met has been extremely welcoming, whether it be at work, the schools, or just folks we meet when we’re out and about. BGMU, like most utilities, is a place that most people don’t think about…which means we’re doing an exemplary job providing reliable water, sewer, power, and internet service! My six months here have been a whirlwind, but they’ve also given me an immense amount of professional pride, satisfaction, and enjoyment. We have a lot of wonderful folks that put in countless hours doing just what our mission statement states: “to improve our customer’s quality of life by providing reliable, safe, and efficient utility service”.

TRISTAR GREENVIEW

BUILDING UPON A LEGACY OF COMPASSION AND INNOVATION

TriStar Greenview has served the Bowling Green community for more than 50 years with a steadfast commitment to patientcentered care while bringing innovative technology to the region. The communitybased hospital is poised to grow as it begins to look to the future by expanding services, creating new access points and continuing to invest in the latest advanced treatment options for patients.

“The south central Kentucky region is vibrant and growing,” said Mike Sherrod, chief executive officer of TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital. “We are excited to look to the future and continue growing with our community.

Patients depend on TriStar Greenview for advanced care options and our compassionate caring staff, and we look forward to building upon our reputation as a healthcare leader in the region.”

TriStar Greenview has continually demonstrated its patient-centered focus. Whether by introducing advanced heartfailure treatment options or creating an enhanced surgical recovery program to significantly reduce postoperative pain, TriStar Greenview has incorporated innovative, evidence-based technology and treatment into its culture.

DURING THE PAST FIVE YEARS, THE HOSPITAL HAS MADE SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENTS TO EXPAND AND ENHANCE ITS SERVICES.

• TriStar Greenview was among the first hospitals in the United States to operationalize leading-edge augmented-reality cardiac catheterization lab imaging technology.

• The hospital was the first in Bowling Green to provide total joint replacement surgery on an outpatient basis, which allows qualifying patients to recover in the comfort of their own homes instead of a hospital.

• The opening of the advanced endoscopy center has transformed the hospital’s GI service line, expanding its capacity and enhancing the patient experience.

• TriStar Greenview was the first hospital in Kentucky to use the Velys orthopedic surgical robot, affording our surgeons higher degrees of precision when placing implants and tailoring the procedure to the patient’s anatomy.

• TriStar Greenview was the first hospital in Kentucky to use advanced augmented-reality image guidance technology in spine surgerya system that enhances surgical precision by affording surgeons a kind of X-ray vision.

• Completion of the Greenview Surgery Center offers patients an alternative to a hospital-based surgical setting.

“I am proud of our physicians and colleagues who champion this innovative work each and every day to improve the lives of our patients,” Sherrod said. “As a strong community partner, we are honored to serve south central Kentuckians and we remain committed to elevated healthcare in our community.”

COME DOWNTOWN IN 2024!

SUBMITTED

BY:

DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, CITY OF BOWLING GREEN

Acity’s Downtown is its heart. Vibrancy and art, community events, local businesses, entertainment, places to live and stay are ways to keep a Downtown’s heart beating. Downtown BGKY is pumping fast in 2024 and it’s where you belong. Its historic charm and powerful nostalgia mix well with modern amenities.

Home to 300+ events annually, 30+ places to shop, eat, drink, and be entertained, and over half a million people visiting those events/ venues throughout the year, Downtown BGKY is alive and well. Fountain Row, its entertainment district, is home to over a dozen restaurants and bars serving adult beverages to-go daily.

The City continues preservation efforts in Downtown’s historic Shake Rag district, home to 150+ years of African-American history. The City purchased and saved the historic Southern Queen Hotel property from disrepair, which was once featured in The Green Book, the African American travel guide during segregation. The City recovered hundreds of significant Shake Rag artifacts that would have been lost, which are now preserved by local professionals and made available to the public for education, research, and continued storytelling. The City awarded the property and its restoration to Bell Vue properties, whose owners plans to revive it as the Southern Queen Hotel. The City is also working with Visit BGKY and Shake Rag’s George Washington Carver Center

nonprofit to update Shake Rag’s historic walking tour. Private developers are restoring the former State Street High School gym into The Mustang Club Wine Bar & Speakeasy, named in honor of the high school’s Mustang mascot. White Squirrel Brewery reopened, just a block from the Southern Queen, Carver Center, and Mustang Club.

Unveiled in January 2024, the City’s Riverfront Park master plan shares a vision of the new 70-acre park along the Barren River, across from Riverwalk Park on River Street. With 20 features for outdoor adventure and festivals, reviving Bowling Green’s river town roots, the vision brings generational change and is unlike any other park in all of Warren County.

Private developers are working on many Downtown projects, like a minority-driven small business accelerator partnership between the City and Houchens Industries,

new Trolley and Unseen BG tours, Service

One Credit Union headquarters, a food truck park near WKU campus, and commercial and residential plans complementing Riverfront Park.

Many City/County annual community-driven events are hosted in Downtown spaces, all with 20+ partners making our city special, like The Capitol, SoKY Marketplace, BG Hot Rods, SKyPAC and more. Mark your calendar: Duncan Hines Days, June 3-9; Downtown BGKY Harvest Fest, October 19; Downtown BGKY Lights Up, December 6.

Follow @downtownbgky on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (X). Visit bgky.org/downtown or bgkydowntown.org and subscribe to the monthly e-news. Check the event calendar, blog, Fountain Square Shop & Dine Guide, public parking map, and Downtown food truck FAQs.

WKU INNOVATION CAMPUS HQ PROVIDES HOME FOR EMERGING TECH, STORYTELLING, R&D TALENT

In 2023, Louisville Business Journal wrote, “Bowling Green has become a hotbed for tech and innovation in the commonwealth. A big part of that growth is at the Western Kentucky University Innovation Campus.

Today, at the Campus’ HQ in a 20-acre property at 2413 Nashville Road in an adaptively reused former shopping mall, StuppFiber plans next-generation fiber connectivity to Bowling Green. Holley develops R&D projects for new aftermarket vehicle modifications. Eezy continuously improves a visual repository for website developers, content creators, and designers around the world. Forerunner designs the Sky Arts Film Festival while running their video production business. Kentucky Thermal Institute creates new education and technology offerings for the growing field of thermology.

Eyeconic launches a continuous stream of new technology companies, like Transmission and Real-Time Safety Solutions. Oria Health develops telehealth-first mental health solutions for Kentucky. Adelphi Technology tests new “electronic sniffer” technologies.

And in the Collaborative SmartSpace—a 24/7, 30,000-square foot membership-driven space for collaborative work— AESC plans AIoT solutions for the US electric vehicle market; Habitat for Humanity explores new approaches to affordable housing; Logan Aluminum develops Industry 4.0 advanced manufacturing projects; and myriad other entrepreneurs, researchers, subject matter experts, faculty, staff, and talented young people are creating together.

By the Numbers

The current WKU Innovation Campus was envisioned by WKU President Tim Caboni in his 10-year strategic plan unveiled in 2018, to transform existing university programs and facilities to being more meaningful to economic development in the region. It’s headquarters is at 2413 Nashville Road in a former shopping mall built in 1967 that has been adaptively reused as an R&D center for the university, a transformation process that began in 2003.

The WKU Innovation Campus is also home to larger collaborations, such as:

• The new Regional Technology Council, formed in 2024 by the Innovation Campus and the Chamber;

• Metals Innovation Initiative, a nonprofit bringing Kentucky together to make the Commonwealth the destination for metals innovation;

• AccelerateKY, a statewide innovation support organization focused on pilot projects to inspire Kentuckians to build the future, strengthen Kentucky’s innovation ecosystem, and build career pathways for work of the future;

• The Civic Imagination Incubator, a partnership between Kentucky organizations and the University of Southern California to support place-based storytelling in Kentucky and throughout Central and Southern Appalachian states;

• The Bowling Green offices of nonprofit Kentucky to the World, focused on strengthening Kentucky’s intellectual and cultural reputation through stories of extraordinary people with Kentucky roots;

• the MIT Open Documentary Lab’s Kentucky-based fellowship, with the inaugural recipient being New York Blues Hall of Famer Lamont “Jack” Pearley; and

• various collaborative innovation labs focused on new approaches to immersive experiences, workforce participation, and recycling.

As Bowling Green continues growing, the Innovation Campus provides a natural gathering place for specialized talent, researchers, and new potential high-growth companies. All we are missing is you! But we have a solution for that, too. Put your information in our CO/CREATE Talent Database, and we will look for the opportunity that will bring you here, too: https://cocreate-ic.com/.

• Routinely, $10 million in private equity investments is raised annually by companies served by the WKU Innovation Campus.

• Over the past five years, the total client company payroll from companies served by the WKU Innovation Campus is more than $100 million. In the past year, payrolls increased by $8.8 million.

• The WKU Innovation Campus has supported companies in the region in the creation of more than 100 new jobs each year for the past 5 years. For instance, in the past year, net new job count associated with the Innovation Campus increased by 176 jobs.

• WKU Innovation Campus team members have worked with more than 500 businesses in the region over the past 5 years.

CREATIVE INTERIORS

Originally from Illinois, Gina and her family moved to Bowling Green when she was 13 years old and she has been here ever since. After attending high school and college here, Gina worked in several different fields and could never find just what her true passion was . The one thing she did know was that she loved working with people. After meeting her now husband, Tim, her mother-in-law Rhonda Harrod took Gina under her wing and brought her into the business. Creative Interiors was started by Rhonda in 1986. This is where Gina discovered her passion and that she had a true eye for design. She is proud to own a business where everything is custom and the choices are endless. Creative Interiors is a full service design center specializing in custom window treatments, bedding, upholstery, and accessories.

Sean Stevens & Brian Mefford

September of 2023, we welcomed White Squirrel Brewery to Bowling Green. Owned/operated by two of Kentucky’s own, Sean Stevens and Brian Mefford teamed up to bring the vision of the brewery to their home state. Both left the state in pursuit of their careers at a young age, but the pull of Kentucky brought them back to raise their families and launch new chapters in their lives. A chance meeting created a friendship and business relationship that has created a happening spot for locals to convene and appreciate what makes Bowling Green special – the people. Drop in for a drink and make a new friend – cheers to that ya’ll!

WARREN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

INNOVATIVE TEACHING & LEARNING FROM PRESCHOOL TO PROFESSION

At Warren County Public Schools (WCPS), we strive to create and maintain meaningful partnerships with community and business leaders that result in high-quality student learning opportunities.

Our partnerships with local, state, national, and world partners have been integral to developing the physical design, as well as exploring academic program options for our new, state-of-the-art IMPACT Center for Leadership and Innovation. This unprecedented IMPACT Center is scheduled to open in 2026 and will house learning and lab spaces equipped with cutting-edge instructional technology. Students will develop leadership skills while receiving world class instruction in areas such as engineering, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and more. In addition, the IMPACT Center for Leadership and Innovation will serve as a world-renowned FranklinCovey model school for leadership development.

Through local partnerships with over 160 businesses, as well as relationships with postsecondary education institutions like WKU and SKYCTC, 3,500 of WCPS’ students had college and/or career learning experiences last year alone. In fact, our district’s postsecondary readiness attainment soared this year for all graduating 12th grade students, with 87.4% of our students graduating in May 2023 designated Postsecondary Ready for college and/or a career.

With an intense focus on educating our students from preschool to profession, WCPS has expanded its preschool program educating nearly 800 3-4 year olds. Combine this expansion with a future preschool academy, and WCPS’ innovative early learning programs such as the KinderReady Summer Academy and Little Learners Mobile Preschool Classroom, the results are transformational as we are seeing significant increases in the number of children starting kindergarten prepared for success.

Warren County Public Schools is the 4th largest district in Kentucky educating students representing 102 languages. We are home to the state of Kentucky’s first four-year international high school and first Lighthouse and Legacy Leader in Me schools. WCPS’ innovative teaching and learning opportunities are one reason you belong in Bowling Green!

SKYCTC’s focus on student success, affordability, and realworld experience helped prepare alumni Roddy Grimes, Alyssa Brasel, and Brilee Harris for life after graduating from SKYCTC.

RODDY GRIMES, the President of Stewart Richey Construction, credits his time at SKYCTC (formerly Bowling Green Technical College) for laying the foundation of his successful career. He emphasizes the importance of having a strong community college, saying, “I think SKYCTC means everything to the community. It provides so many affordable educational opportunities,” says Grimes. “The education that SKY offers is life-changing for so many people, and I’m an example.”

NATCHER ELEMENTARY DUBBED FIRST FRANKLINCOVEY

LEADER IN ME LEGACY SCHOOL

Last May, Warren County Public Schools made education history, as Natcher Elementary was dubbed the first FranklinCovey Leader in Me Legacy School.

At the 2024 Leader in Me Symposium, after Plano and Alvaton elementary were designated as Legacy Schools, the district is now the first in the world to have three Legacy Schools, as well as 13 Lighthouse Schools.

Earning the title of Legacy School isn’t easy. Legacy Schools must have been a Lighthouse School for at least eight years, show sustained growth and innovation of Lighthouse criteria and make continued contributions to the Leader in Me community.

“So if you get Lighthouse, you’re like a black belt in Leader in Me. Now Legacy is even above that, there’s only 20 in the whole world out of 7,000,” said Sean Covey, President of FranklinCovey Education. “Legacy is like, Hall of Fame. These are Hall of Fame schools that have made such an influence in their communities, they’ve reached that standard.”

A sentiment echoed by Rob Clayton, Superintendent of WCPS, who said getting the Leader in Me distinctions wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of local bodies, and the community.

“We’re very fortunate here locally to have, what I think, truly is a model collaboration with our local chamber of commerce,” said Clayton. “Our business and industry partners are very much in tune with what’s happening in our schools. They want to be a part of improving the educational outcomes for our students. They understand how it’s a win-win, not just for our students today, but for our community moving forward.”

Franklin Covey's Leader in Me is a program meant to nurture leadership in students pre-k through grade 12, hoping to empower students, educators and families with the skills to succeed.

Also announced at the symposium were the district’s newest Lighthouse Schools: Bristow Elementary, Jennings Creek Elementary and Jody Richards Elementary.

HOW TOURISM COMPLEMENTS COMMUNITY

Have you ever visited a destination only to start researching the living amenities or available jobs in the destination? Tourism is the first step in the decision to relocate since a potential resident will likely have visited the location before considering a move. As the official destination management organization for Bowling Green and Warren County, Visit BGKY aims to promote the Bowling Green community as both a visitor-friendly destination and a potential new location to call home.

Tourism and relocation tend to complement each other as both residents and visitors will gravitate toward areas with great amenities and experiences. Through marketing, PR and other advertising tactics Visit BGKY reaches new audiences to promote the area’s cultural attractions, culinary gems, outdoor adventures and other unique experiences that draw travelers to the area while perhaps influencing some to call Bowling Green their new home.

“Hospitality and tourism are also crucial to Bowling Green and Warren County due to the economic boost generated when visitors

spend money locally,” said Sherry Murphy, executive director for the Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Bureau. “In 2022 travelers spent $8.9 billion in Kentucky –that’s a $536 tax savings for each average Kentucky household.”

Named the official events calendar for Bowling Green, VisitBGKY.com is a great culmination of resources for visitors, residents and those looking to learn more about Bowling Green. Another way to stay in touch is to follow along with @VisitBGKY on social media.

BOWLING GREEN HOT RODS

The Bowling Green Hot Rods are a Minor League Baseball team that competes in the High-A East League as the High-A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, with whom they have been affiliated since the team’s founding in 2009. The team is heading into their 15th Anniversary season in Bowling Green. The Hot Rods will play a 132-game schedule and host 66 contests at Bowling Green Ballpark over 11 home stands in 2024.

In 2023, the Bowling Green Hot Rods celebrated success both on and off the field. Having won three of the last five championships, our team continues to break records. Throughout the past several seasons, the Hot Rods have donated over $1.8M back into the South-Central Kentucky community. Aside from the 66 Hot Rods home games, the ballpark hosted close to 200 additional events. In 2022, the Hot Rods won the South Atlantic League Championship, while in 2021, winning the High-A East Championship. In 2018, the Hot Rods won their first Midwest League Championship. Since our inception, the Hot Rods have had over 100 players make their Major League debut.

In 2019, the Hot Rods celebrated their first year under the team’s current ownership of Jack Blackstock, who helped spearhead the 2.5-million-dollar renovation of the Bowling Green Ballpark. The ballpark is a 4,350 seat, multi-function complex in the heart of downtown Bowling Green. More renovations concluded in 2022 with a new clubhouse for the team and we will have new fan features debuting within the next two years.

With more than just stadium seating, the ballpark features several picnic, patio, and play areas for fans to enjoy. The Hiller Kids Zone includes Axle’s Adventureland Playground presented by Van Meter Insurance, as well as a classic carousel and splash pad, and more. Celebrate birthdays and other special occasions on the Birthday Decks while

enjoying the views from right field. The Coca-Cola Deck is a private covered, open-air picnic area located on the suite level on the first base side. The Happy Hiller Corner is an open patio area with three covered gazebos, as well as a brand-new food and drink rails for an elevated experience. The covered gazebos are furnished with outdoor lounge furniture located on the left field wall overlooking the Hot Rods bullpen. The Budweiser Zone is the largest picnic area in the ballpark with a three-tiered landing and is the prime location to catch your favorite player’s homerun. The Yuengling Tap Room is a trendy lounge atmosphere featured on the concourse level of the ballpark. New in 2023 was the Jim Beam Bar located on the first base side of

the ballpark. The Performance Foodservice Stadium Club and Evan Williams Bar is an outstanding enclosed group area with an air-conditioned lounge and reserved seating on the balcony, located on the suite level behind home plate. This club is also used for meeting and event rentals throughout the year for corporate meetings, trainings as well as weddings and formal dinners.

Hot Rods baseball is more than just a sporting event, but a family-friendly, memory-making experience. From theme nights like Marvel’s Defenders of the Diamond Night to Unicorn Night, and playing as the Bootleggers and Bowling Green Hot Dogs, we have entertainment planned for everyone. Games come packed with fun promotions giveaways, and celebrity appearances like Joey Chestnut and Jim O’Heir, that keep fans coming back for more.

In addition to hosting the Hot Rods baseball team, Bowling Green Ballpark continues to host a multitude of professional, corporate, charity, and individual events, including largescale concerts, charity walks, Bourbon and Brewfest, Tequila N’ Tacos, high school and college baseball tournaments, ultra-marathon, professional wrestling, and more.

WKU ATHLETICS

The WKU Athletics motto is “Champions Climb Here,” and that is evidenced by the 39 team Conference USA championships and 67 individual CUSA titles the University has claimed since joining the league in the summer of 2014. WKU has won nearly 16% of all championships awarded since then, meaning one of just over every six trophies up for grabs comes home to The Hill. WKU has won multiple championships every year but two and has taken home at least five titles four times.

In December, WKU announced it reached its highest Graduation Success Rate in program history. WKU posted an overall GSR of 88 and has achieved a mark of 85 or higher in five of the last six GSR reports released by the NCAA. Five programs recorded a perfect GSR score of 100, while nine recorded a 90 or above. Over the 2023 calendar year, 83 student-athletes have earned their degree from WKU.

A study conducted by the Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Bureau determined Western Kentucky University's fall athletic programs had an economic impact of over $3.5 million on the Warren County community in the period from late August to November, 2023. The review focused on hotel night stays generated by home athletic events in football, volleyball, soccer, and cross country.

Western Kentucky University Football generated $34.29 million in media exposure value during the 2023 season, according to Nielsen. The Hilltoppers finished the season 8-5 and with a historic come-from-behind victory in the Famous Toastery Bowl – a game that generated nearly $3.5 million in media exposure value alone. The Hilltoppers' generated more value than the rest of Conference USA combined, totaling more than $33 million from the six national TV games measured. Nielsen does not measure CBS Sports Network, on which WKU played two games during the regular season. WKU also garnered significant buzz and attention from its seven unique Big Red logos, which were worn on helmets based on position groups during

the Oct. 24 game against Liberty. The uniform reveal generated over $1 million in value alone through social media and earned media value.

WKU student-athletes are committed to interacting with various populations that make up the Bowling Green Community and have completed 3,129 community service hours since May 2023. WKU student-athletes have taken part in the High-Five Friday program at seven different schools, where they greet and high five students to start their day. There have been 22 WKU student-athletes from nine different sport programs participate in Read Across America at four different schools – Rockfield Elementary, Jennings Creek Elementary, Jody Richards Elementary, and Dishman-McGinnis Elementary. As part of the Pass It On program, which is in its second year, WKU student-athletes teach leadership and teamwork through basketball to local elementary students for two hours each Saturday morning for four weeks in a row. WKU student-athletes are committed to working with Special Olympics. WKU has had Men’s and Women’s Basketball players coach unified games, student-athletes volunteer at Camp Happy Days, and help with various tournaments throughout the year. WKU student-athletes have also visited local senior and assisted living facilities, like The Bungalows at Bowling Green and Bowling Green Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and volunteered with Curbside Ministries, Boys & Girls Club of Bowling Green, and the Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society.

“I’m never going to leave, so that means something right? But honestly, Bowling Green has become my home. I’ve been welcomed in with open arms and met some of my best friends, feel insanely supported by the community, found a church family, and love my life at WKU. There’s something special about this town, and I hope everyone sticks around long enough to experience it.” – Tyler “Fluff” Olden, WKU Men’s Basketball Junior Guard and Scottsdale, Arizona native.

STEVE JANTZ & WIFE, KIM

“Kim and I made a leap of faith to move from Oklahoma to Kentucky for my job at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. We owe much of our love for Bowling Green to Jeff Reed and his amazing vision for the performing arts. Jeff not only leads the organization well, but is also the fantastic music director of Orchestra Kentucky. The orchestra performances are incredible, but what we look forward to the most is when they play with cover band singers for events like the music of ELO, Queen, Neil Diamond, and many more. I guess that ages us a little; we love the old classics. The development team at SKyPAC, especially Denise Lubey, has also taken our hand and led us to joy and happiness through an introduction to new friends in the Elm Street Society. Making a new home is complicated, but our friends at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center brought confirmation to the place we now call home.”

The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Anthem) to offer businesses with 2 to 50 employees an opportunity to participate in a larger, self-funded pool that gives you financial protection backed by Anthem’s stop loss coverage. The ChamberAdvantage plan is a great alternative to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans that offers you lower costs and more predictable rates – just like larger corporations.

ChamberAdvantage Offers:

• Competitive Rates

• Predictable, fixed monthly payments

• Flexibility in choice of benefit plans

• Broad networks through Anthem’s Blue Access and Essential formulary

• Discounted rates on dental, vision, life and disability plans with ChamberAdvantage medical plan

Index | 75 TAKE IT EASY AND WORRY LESS WITH ChamberAdvantage!
