Dear friends of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County,
Welcome to the 20th Anniversary Chrysalis Ball – Cirque Du Soiree. On behalf of our Board of Directors, our staff, and our member families, thank you for joining us for a curiously unexpected evening. This evening promises not only to captivate and entertain, but to embody our profound commitment to the inspiring and boundless aspirations of our youth.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County have been serving youth in our communities for 56 years. Shawn Willis, our CEO completed her first year in office, and has been instrumental in leading BGCCC’s expansion across Collin County. Through August 2024, we have served 8,074 youth!! The organization has experienced incredible growth in our ISD partnerships with the addition of three after-school sites in Plano ISD, and two additional after-school sites in Princeton ISD. Summer camps exceeded expectations as well by adding three new summer camp sites and surpassing enrollment registration goals.
With help from generous friends and donors as yourself, BGCCC continues to introduce quality, innovative, and relevant programming for our youth. A new Exergaming Room was opened in the McKinney Branch in August. This fall, we expanded our youth sports league to include volleyball and indoor soccer, along with the existing basketball league. We also plan to open a new music space at the Plano branch that will offer guitar and drum lessons. We also plan to open a communications room and several STEM initiatives this fall. The future is truly bright for the youth of Collin County!
We are maintaining momentum and will continue to cultivate new partnerships to provide innovative programming for our youth. However, much of our programming would not be possible without the support of our dedicated corporate and community partners, and individual donors in the room this evening. THANK YOU for your continued support. As we continue to grow the mission and reach of Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County, we are counting on your generous giving to support our clubs as we work to enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

Over the past year, we have welcomed record numbers of youth and teens from diverse backgrounds, each bringing their unique aspirations and talents. Our dedicated staff, board of directors, and volunteers have worked tirelessly, ensuring that every young person who walks through our Blue Doors feels valued and empowered, and together, we have expanded our programs, introduced new initiatives, and strengthened our community partnerships, all aimed at enriching the lives of our youth.
As we look ahead, our vision for the future is bold and ambitious. We are committed to creating even more opportunities for our youth to grow, learn, and flourish. We envision a Collin County where every child has access to the resources they need to succeed, where their dreams are not just nurtured but celebrated. Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club members. Each year, one exceptional young person from a Club rises to the role of Youth of the Year, becoming an exemplary ambassador who not only speaks as a voice of Club youth but also stands up to represent young people. The program is designed to select a young person who has excelled academically, made outstanding contributions to his or her family, school, community, and Club, and in many cases overcame substantial obstacles. Youth of the Year participants embody the values of leadership, service, academic excellence, and healthy lifestyles; they exemplify the critical impact of Boys & Girls Clubs on the lives of young people. Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor bestowed upon Club members.

Since 1969, Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County has served North Texas with a mission to “enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”
Opening our doors to over 4,000 area youth when they are out of school, our innovative programs are designed to empower youth to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy, productive lives. Each Club operates 15-20 programs utilizing proven and nationally recognized programs in (5) Core Program Areas that closely align with the developmental needs of all young people:

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County (BGCCC) is proud to announce the expansion of its innovative Club Reach program into select schools within both Plano ISD and Princeton ISD. This initiative, designed to extend the benefits of the Club's core programming directly to schools, provides students with essential after-school resources, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities.
The Club Reach program brings a wide array of BGCCC’s hallmark programs directly to schools, focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character-building. Students gain access to homework assistance, STEM activities, sports, and arts programs, along with life skills workshops, ensuring they have a well-rounded experience that promotes personal growth and development.
Through partnerships with Plano ISD and Princeton ISD, the program aims to impact more students, especially in communities where after-school support may be limited. By offering these services within the schools themselves, Club Reach creates a safe and nurturing environment that fosters educational success while empowering youth to reach their full potential.
The program has already shown remarkable results in Plano ISD schools, where it launched earlier this year, and it continues to grow as more families and educators see the positive impact it has on students. With this expansion, BGCCC is excited to serve even more children in Collin County, ensuring that youth across our communities have access to high-quality after-school programs that will prepare them for a bright future.
