Stephanie Koch, MSW

CEO OF BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF ATLANTIC CITY Whether you have ventured to our Teen Center and smelled the aroma flowing from our kitchen during a culinary training class, joined youth in a robotics race at our Chelsea STEAM Lab, or volunteered to read to children at our Drexel Club during storytime, you have raised a hand to stand by Atlantic City’s next generation, shining a light and guiding them to a brighter tomorrow. Thank you for supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. Our Club is gifted with partners, supporters and volunteers. We bring them into our fold of mentoring, requesting that they share their expertise, their history and their skills, with our 2500 children. Our mission of providing resources for the development of young people, from all backgrounds, to realize their full potential as responsible caring adults, is not something we can do alone. The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City takes pride in hosting opportunities for learning and growth, across our three facilities, knowing that the lessons learned will transcend the walls of our three sites, and travel into the greater Atlantic City community. Our partners are community champions; you stand with our youth development experts, helping our children to explore careers, recognize their potential as future a college students, and to help them grow into self-sustaining, successful adults. We cannot do this alone. Tonight, we honor a community champion who believes in urban centers and understands what it takes to truly revitalize a community. Christopher Paladino, President of ACDEVCO, a nonprofit redevelopment company that serves as a vehicle for economic development in Atlantic City, has transformed our community. His leadership has not only erected beautiful buildings and monumental institutions in our city, but fully engaged the community through organizing efforts which directly benefit Atlantic City residents. Through public-private partnerships and thought leadership, ACDEVCO is strategically and intentionally revitalizing our Atlantic City community with a focus on social impact, equitable opportunities, and economic development. Paladino’s leadership is exemplary of what our Club’s missions seeks to accomplish,; investing in our youth, increasing home ownership, connecting with businesses and institutions to align partners, and focusing on safety, all for the greater good of the community. Join me in sharing appreciation for Chris, for his leadership and attention. Chris is a professional role model and a leader that the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City is grateful to have on its side.

A CELEBRATION OF

Our Community’s Vision for Tomorrow

Christopher J. Paladino PRESIDENT OF ACDEVCO

(DEVCO) since 1994. Under his leadership, DEVCO has initiated, developed, and managed 6.5 million square feet in residential, commercial, academic, and institutional development valued at $2.0 billion. Through the establishment of unique public-private partnerships, Mr. Paladino has successfully completed numerous projects that not only achieve key development objectives but also address important public policy goals. Under Paladino’s leadership, DEVCO recently completed the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center and residential tower, in partnership with Rutgers University, George Street Playhouse, and Middlesex County among others. DEVCO also completed the development of the Atlantic City Gateway project, a new university campus in Atlantic City, in partnership with Stockton University and South Jersey Gas. Paladino is currently in the midst of the planning and design phase of the new $750 million Cancer Pavilion Project, a partnership of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and RWJ Barnabas Health System. Also underway is the planning phase for the New Jersey Innovation and Technology Hub, a major development site in downtown New Brunswick. Successful projects completed under Mr. Paladino’s leadership include the $300 million College Avenue Redevelopment Initiative in New Brunswick and 15 Washington Renovation project in Newark (both developed in partnership with Rutgers University), the Gateway Transit Village mixed-use residential, office, and retail development, and many other major redevelopment efforts. Paladino received both a B.A. and law degree from Rutgers University, where he was also an Eagleton Fellow. He serves as a Distinguished Senior Policy Fellow at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University and was honored by the University as a Loyal Son of Rutgers. He serves as a Trustee of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Board, and previously served as a Member of the Rutgers Business School Real Estate Executive Committee.
