3D LASER SCANNING
Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering & Testing, Inc. offers 3D high-density laser scanning services using a Faro Focus 3D laser scanner. The Faro Focus 3D laser scanner is the latest technology available. It is smaller, lighter, 5 to 10 times faster, more precise, and has a longer range than older generation HD scanning technology.
ASSET | INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT
Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering and Testing, Inc. offers assessment and management services for roadways, airfields and parking areas on all pavement types, including concrete, asphalt and other permeable materials. Using PAVERTM software, inventories of facility networks, street infrastructure, and airfields are developed with ArcGIS and AutoCAD. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) ratings are completed and managed from year to year, serving as the bases for recommended repair and rehabilitation alternatives. We provide construction administration and management for repairs, and coordinate capital projects based on the client’s budgetary goals.

LiDAR
Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering & Testing, Inc. has the in-house capability of providing 3D Mobile Mapping / LiDAR using the Trimble MX9. This is a vehicle-mounted spatial imaging system which combines state-of-the-art hardware with intuitive field software and a reliable, efficient office software workflow. The data collected offers a wide range of transportation and civil design applications. The MX9 mobile mapping system can cover miles of pavement analysis in a single days workflow.

UNMANNED AERIAL SERVICES
Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering & Testing, Inc. uses the Wingtraone dual rotor VTOL drone as well as the Parrot Anafi thermal drone for data capture. The Wingtraone is one of the most exclusive fixed wing mapping drones in the industry. The aircraft has an operating range of 4 miles. With a flight time of over an hour, we can capture over 400 acres in one flight. The 21-megapixel Sony QX1 camera produces crystal clear images allowing our software program to stitch each picture into a single gigapixel image flawlessly. Our Parrot Anafi thermal drone is used to map in smaller areas where a fixed wing drone would not be able to access easily. We also use the Parrot Anafi drone for inspections on bridges, roof HVAC loss, towers, power, and sinkhole locations.
