’ Dear Fairy Tale fans, Another Fenwick year has brought us to another Fenwick production. While it may seem the same to you, our audience, much has changed on our end. First, because of last year’s Auction Fund-aDream, we are now working with a new sound system and some new lighting equipment! On behalf of all our students, I want to say how thankful we are to last year’s Fund-a-Dream campaign and all the donors. What a difference this has made for us and hopefully for you, our audience! However, since the final installation was not completed until after we started rehearsing, we spent the first two weeks practicing on a rather dark stage. (Special thanks to Mrs. Vigneron for helping us use the stage during this time!) Then when everything was in, our team had to learn the new equipment. We also had some changes to our production team, one of which was bringing Mr. Cox (our lifesaver!) in to design and run tech only last week! We also brought in a new choreographer, Emma Limperis from Endicott College (she worked wonders with the kids) and moved Mr. Berube to Set Design, while our brand new Arts Department Head, Mr. Konigsberg worked as our Set Design Assistant. Ms. Foley stayed on as costume designer but, as you will see in a few minutes, this has been the hardest show to costume since I’ve been here.

The biggest change however was that we decided to present the musical in the fall. This ended up being a huge challenge to schedule rehearsals around other Fenwick commitments and at times was very frustrating. Everything just seemed to happen so fast and way back in September, when we had auditions, many of us did not foresee how busy we would actually be. I know the students felt stressed as did I, but here we are at our show weekend, and miraculously we are in fact ready. Very ready! And the only reason we are in such good shape is because of the hard work and dedication of these students and the hard work and dedication of our production staff.

Please know that you are here to see an amazing show because of them.

We have all found a home here in the theater and we all have one common goal: to make something beautiful. The theater is a remarkable place; it can transport us to different worlds where, for just a little while, we don’t have to think about the problems in this world, and that’s what I hope Shrek does for you. In the theater world magic is possible, happy endings come true, and everyone is encouraged to wave their freak flags proudly. I have seen firsthand how the theater opens its arms to welcome those who feel they have no other place to go, or feel cast out or forgotten, like Donkey and Shrek!

Theater transcends language barriers, different backgrounds and brings people together. Not just the cast of characters or the crew and musicians; but it brings together all people: people who love music, who love story telling, families, friends, and even strangers.

This is why theater is so special to me and it is even more special to me now because I get to do it at a place like Fenwick. Where we are all accepted. My family is here (literally!) and I can’t think of a place I’d rather be. So welcome to Shrek, welcome to our big, bright, beautiful world, and know here at Fenwick, you matter and you belong! “We are different and united, you are us and we are you! This is our story!”

Isabel Anaya '22 This is Isabel’s second musical but her first musical at Bishop Fenwick. Her first musical was Guys and Dolls and she played Sarah Brown. In her free time she likes to sing Lily Brown '21 Lily Brown is a sophomore from Salem, MA who is appearing in her third production at Bishop Fenwick. Lily is thrilled to be a part of the theatre program because she loves performing. She is returning to the Fenwick stage as Gingy. Some of her previous roles were Auntie Em in Wizard of Oz, Pumbaa in The Lion King, Genie in Aladdin, Captain in Bedtime Stories, and Ms. Bingham in School of Rock. When Lily is not on the stage, she loves to read, write, sing, play sports, and be involved at Fenwick. She is so excited for everyone to see the show, and she hopes you enjoy it!

Meghan Cabral '21 Meghan is currently a sophomore at Fenwick. This is her second show here – last year, she played Tomika in School of Rock. Meghan is a large cracked egg in Shrek the Musical this year, also known as Humpty Dumpty. This one’s for you, Jake! She hopes you enjoy the show.

Cathryn Cirone '22 Cate Cirone is a freshmen at Fenwick this year. She is captain of the Freshmen soccer team and enjoys every minute of the field. This is her first play at Fenwick.

However, she has been acting since she was six and last year she was Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach. She has really enjoyed participating in Shrek and cannot wait to do more Fenwick plays!

Mitchell Collins '19 Mitchell Collins is a senior who is very excited to play the Big Bad Wolf in Bishop Fenwick’s production of Shrek the Musical! This is his second time involved in Fenwick Drama after a wonderful and memorable experience last year with School of Rock: The Musical, in which he played Mr. Mooneyham. When he’s not on stage as a cross-dressing fairytale wolf, Mitchell likes to sing (both in choir and along with the car radio), write, watch movies, practice guitar, and, most of all, hang out with his friends. He hopes to huff and puff and blow you away!

Jake Connolly ‘21 Jake is a Sophomore from Salem. A member of the football team this is his first time on stage. Along with the rest of the football guards - thank you to Br. Tom for “suggesting” he give this a try and wants to assure Coach Driscoll that this will only improve his lacrosse game.

Hannah Cormier '20 Hannah is a junior at Fenwick. Last year Hannah played Mrs. Macapugay and a security guard in “School of Rock.” In her Freshman year, Hannah played one of the factory girls in “The Pajama Game”. During her off time, Hannah dances at Stand Up 8 Dance Studio. At her studio, Hannah dances hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet and she does acrobatics. In her free time, Hannah likes to read, draw and relax by watching Netflix or sleeping. Hannah hopes that you enjoy Fenwick’s rendition of “Shre the Musical”!

Bronwyn Cullen '19 Bronwyn Cullen is a senior at Bishop Fenwick. She has participated in all the previous Fenwick shows since her freshman year- you may remember her as “Rumplestiltskin” from one of last year’s fall plays. She is ecstatic to be performing once again with her best friends in Shrek, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Elise Cunniff '20 Shrek is Elise Cunniff’s fifth Fenwick production. She is so happy that you were able to come and support the Fenwick Theater program! In her free time, Elise likes to make Tik Tok videos with her friends and work as a lifeguard so she can save enough money to see Toto live in concert. Although she no longer takes AP Euro as a class, she still enjoys reading her textbook as a pastime. Her favorite snack is packing peanuts. Being involved in the Fenwick Arts program has encouraged Elise to pursue a music related career, and after high school, Elise plans on studying business management in college so that she can become the executive manager of the One Direction Reunion Tour. If that does not work out, she will pursue a full time position as a lifeguard. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Erica Dellisola '21 Erica is a sophomore and this is her third production here at Fenwick. She is so excited to be the Wicked Witch but is even more excited to hit those soul sister notes with her fellow soul sisters, Bronwyn, Alexa, and MaryKate. In addition to the musical she is also apart of concert choir, select choir, and Fenwick Falsettos where she is an alto in all three groups. She is excited for Shrek and many more productions here at Fenwick! She also wants to wish everybody a Happy Gourd Season!

Caleigh Dirks '19 Caleigh is a senior and this is her first show at Fenwick. She is playing little red riding hood. Outside of theatre she plays soccer, hockey, and lacrosse. She is excited for everyone to see the show!

Elizabeth Donahue '19 Elizabeth is a senior at Bishop Fenwick, and this is her sixth production here. Outside of theater, Elizabeth is involved in Select Choir, and she loves playing piano, guitar, and ukulele. She would like to thank Dr. T, Mrs. Vigneron, Emily Yuu, Ms. Foley, Mr. Cox, and Mr. Berube for all their help with the show. She hopes you enjoy Shrek.

Luci Dugan '20 Luci Dugan is a junior at Fenwick and this is her 5th show. She was previously in the ensemble in 44 Plays for 44 Presidents and The Pajama Game, Lockdown as Rebecca and School of Rock as a student. She is excited to be playing a villager, a knight and one of the three blind mice! Catch her and Erica Dellisola as "The Lion King" in the travel song!! Hope you all enjoy the show!

Katie Dunn '22 Katie Dunn is a freshman from Lynn, and Shrek is her first musical at Fenwick. She has been doing theater all of her life, and some of her favorite productions include: Smee (Peter Pan), Scarecrow (Dorothy in Wonderland), and The Evil Queen (Snow White’s Variety Show.) Off stage, Katie enjoys playing on the Fenwick soccer team, watching conspiracy theories, dressing her dog in costumes and eating skinny pop! Katie is pumped to be a Duloc dancer and hopes you love the show!

Marguerite Dunn '20 Maggie Dunn is so excited to be performing in her fifth show at Bishop Fenwick!

She will be playing Pinocchio in this production of Shrek!, but has been involved in theater for her whole life. Among her favorite roles include: Ebenezer Scrooge (A Christmas Carol), Core Cast Member (44 Plays for 44 Presidents), Captain Bree (The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree), and Joyce Johnson (Invasion). Along with theater and Concert Choir, Maggie also has a passion for directing. She has previously directed at Saint Pius Middle School in Lynn and is looking forward to directing The Velveteen Rabbit at Bishop Fenwick in the spring. Let your freak flag fly and enjoy the show!

Jimmy Espinal '21 Jimmy is a Sophomore from Salem. A member of the football team, this is his first time on stage. Along with the rest of the “football” guards, he would like to thank you Br. Tom and Mrs. Vigneron for “suggesting” he spend time on stage and to Cory, Tom and Ray for cementing that decision.

Jane Fantozzi '19 Jane is a current senior at Bishop Fenwick and this is her sixth Fenwick show. Outside of theater, Jane enjoys art, karate, and student government. She wants to thank Dr. T, Emily, Mrs. Vigneron, Ms. Foley, Mr. Berube, and Mr. Cox for all their hard work on the show. She hopes you enjoy Shrek!

Bobby Farren '21 Bobby is a Sophomore from Stoneham. A member of the football team, this is his second time on stage having played the lead drummer of the band in School of Rock last year. Thank you to Br. Tom and Mrs. Vigneron for “suggesting” he repeat his time on stage.

Grace Goodell '19 Grace Goodell is a senior at Bishop Fenwick. This is her 6th high school production.

She plays a knight in Fiona’s castle and is a member of the Duloc/villager ensemble.

When she is not sleeping, she enjoys cuddling with her dog, working at Starbucks, and playing Fortnite. Grace wants to give a special shout-out to her family, friends, and coffee for supporting her throughout the show’s preparation. She is incredibly proud to be a part of such an amazing cast and crew and hopes you all enjoy the show!

Danielle Gubitose '22 Danielle is playing baby bear. This is her first musical here at Bishop Fenwick. She has done other plays before such as The Lion King, Sound of Music, Peter Pan, and Fat Sue. She is very excited for this upcoming musical.

Brianna Harding '21 Brianna Harding is a sophomore at Bishop Fenwick. Shrek is her second musical at Fenwick, and this show has been just as fun as the previous one. She feels blessed to have worked with such an amazing cast.

Emma Harkness '21 Emma Harkness is a sophomore here at Fenwick. This is her first musical, but second performance. She participated in the fall play last year and decided to give the musical a shot. She is a competitive gymnast at Baker’s Gymnastics and practices almost every day. Emma is playing Puss in Boots, a Village Dancer, a Duloc Dancer, and a Wedding Guest. She is very thankful for all the friends and memories that the Fenwick Drama Club has given her.

Hannah Jinks '19 Hannah Jinks is a senior at Bishop Fenwick. She has been involved in all of the musicals at Fenwick and she is very excited to be a part of her last show, Shrek. It is a bittersweet feeling for her as theater has been such an incredibly amazing time throughout all her years at Fenwick and now that time has finally come to an end.

Shrek is such a fun show to be a part of and Hannah thinks it is such a great musical to end her Fenwick career on. She wishes the best of luck to the cast and the rest of the seniors, hoping they continue doing theater wherever they go. Finally, she wants to remind everyone that no matter where life takes them they should always let their freak flag fly high.

Juliana Kalunde '22 Juliana Kalunde is a freshman and this is her first production with Bishop Fenwick.

She will be playing one of the three little pigs. She has participated in musicals in the past with her middle school Sacred Heart School and various summer camps.

Among her favorite roles include; Gertrude McFuzz in North Shore Music Theatre Summer Camp Production, Mary Poppins in Sacred Heart School’s production, and Snoopy in the Lexington Players Summer Production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She would like to thank her family, cast, and everyone who made it possible for her to participate in such a great production.

Sophia Kameese, St. John the Baptist School Sophia is a 10 year old girl who attends the 5th grade at St. John the Baptist School. Although this is her first musical performance, Sophia is no stranger to the stage as she has been performing in dance recitals since the age of 2. She has always had an interest in the arts and is hopeful that she will be performing in future musicals. Her hobbies include dance, cross country, and painting.

Natalia Kanj '19 Natalia Kanj is a senior at Bishop Fenwick. This is her fourth year as a part of the Fenwick drama program. Besides devoting her time to her academics, she enjoys traveling, driving, listening to music, and being with her family and friends. Natalia plans to pursue a career in the medical field after she graduates. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she enjoyed performing in it!

Hannah Kubat '20 Hannah is a junior at Bishop Fenwick. She is involved in the drama program and Shrek is her third Fenwick production. Outside of theater, Hannah is a member of the select choir. She is on both the Fenwick swim team and track team. When Hannah isn't at rehearsal or practice, you can find her at home, cuddling with her dogs.

Aidan Linehan '20 Aidan Linehan is a Junior at Bishop Fenwick, and is very excited to be involved in Shrek. He is appearing in his fourth Fenwick production, with his most recent roll being Freddy in School of Rock. On top of his role as Papa Ogre, Aidan also looks forward to working behind the scenes as a member of the stage crew for the first time. He wishes the rest of cast the best of luck and expects a few laughs from the audience!

Julia Loescher '22 Julia Loescher is a freshman. Shrek is her first Fenwick musical. At St. John’s Peabody she played roles such as Peter Pan in Peter Pan, and Liesl in The Sound of Music. At Fenwick she was the captain of the girls JV Soccer team and plans to play basketball in the winter and run track in the spring.

Francesca Lupis '22 Francesca Lupis is a Freshman and Shrek is her first play at Fenwick. This is her second play, the first one being High School Musical. Outside of school she plays volleyball and she dances Regina Maes '22 Regina Maes is a freshman, and a Duloc singer, villager, and wedding guest. She has been in many musicals, and her largest role was last year, as the Bird Woman in Mary Poppins.

Ava Mahoney '20 Ava Mahoney is a junior and this is her first musical and first production at Bishop Fenwick. In middle school, she was in “12 Angry Men” and has done improv for 5 years. She is very excited for the show and she thanks her parents for their constant support.

Oakley McGee, St. Mary’s Danvers Oakley is 10 years old and in the fourth grade at St. Mary’s, Danvers. This is his first high school play! At St. Mary’s, he appeared in the ensemble in Aladdin Jr. and as Michael in Peter Pan Jr. He will also be performing as Pilot in the school’s production of The Little Mermaid, Jr. in January. Oakley plays soccer, basketball, and baseball, and enjoys ice skating and rollerblading in his spare time.

Brendan Mirra '19 Brendan is a senior taking part in his seventh show here at Fenwick. Past favorite roles include Charlie Brown in Charlie Brown Christmas and Billy Sandford in School of Rock. At Fenwick, Brendan is also part of the cross country and track teams as well as other random activities including being one of the senior gift chairs for the Class of 2019 (thanks Mrs. Vigneron). In his busy senior year, Brendan would rather do nothing else than play Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical, although he wishes he was still the assistant director (thanks Emily). He hopes you enjoy seeing his Kingdom of Duloc.

Alexa Potter '19 This is Alexa's 2nd show at Fenwick. Last year in School of Rock she played emo girl.

In Shrek, she will be playing the white rabbit and is very excited about the production. Alexa also does cross country, track, and is a very talented alto in Fenwick's choir. She wants to thank Mary Kate for writing this bio for her, Madi for talking her into doing the musical, and Mary Kate again for talking her into choir. She is so happy that she decided to join the arts at Fenwick and has a new love for performing.

She wants to wish everyone in the cast good luck, may they all do just as good as her.

Franklin Quintin '21 Franklin is a Sophomore from Salem. A member of the football team this is his first time on stage. Along with the rest of the “football” guards, he would like to thank Cory Bright and Mrs. Vigneron for assuring him that he would love to spend time on stage, but he is wondering where Cory went.

Danny Richard '21 Danny is a Sophomore from Peabody. A member of the football team, this is his second time on stage having played the lead guitarist of the band in School of Rock last year. Thank you to Br. Tom and Mrs. Vigneron for “suggesting” he repeat his time on stage.

Alicia Ridgley '19 This is Alicia’s fourth musical and fourth show at Fenwick. This year, she has her second acting role as Mama Bear. She was previously a featured dancer in Footloose and Pajama Game and a school teacher in School of Rock. She has been dancing for 14 years and has been competing for 12 years. Growing up loving theater and music, Alicia has been very excited to be part of some amazing casts here at Fenwick. In her free time, Alicia loves to spend her time with friends and family.

Since this is her senior year, she is excited to have her last role here at Fenwick and couldn’t be more grateful for all the opportunities Fenwick has given her.

Molly Roberge '22 Molly is a freshman at Bishop Fenwick. She is involved in the drama program and Shrek is her first Fenwick production. When she's not on the stage, Molly is a member of select choir, science/ environmental club and art club. In her spare time, you can find Molly listening to music and drawing. She really hopes you enjoy her mooing!

Jordan Rochna '22 Jordan Rochna is a 9th grader participating in her first show at Bishop Fenwick as a Tap Dancing Rat, Duloc Dancer, Villager, and a Wedding Guest. Last year she was seen as “Peter Pan” in Peter Pan at SMA Danvers and as “Mom” in The Yellow Boat at St. John’s Prep, in which she won an award for at the METG Middle School Dramafest for Excellence in Acting and Singing. Jordan also currently participates in Concert Choir and Select Choir at Fenwick. She’d like to thank everyone who helped this show become possible and wishes everyone good luck in the show!

Jonathan Rutkowski '21 Jonathan Rutkowski is very excited to be his first lead in a Fenwick production. He is a sophomore and this show is going to be his twelfth play in his career. Last year as a freshman, he was ensemble in school of rock. He is very excited to be playing Donkey one of his dream roles, he hopes you enjoy the show and have a great time.

Leanne Santerre '19 Leanne Santerre is a Senior at Bishop Fenwick High School. She will be playing Fiona in this production of Shrek, and is overjoyed to do so. She has been doing theater at Fenwick since her Freshman year and is so thankful to have been given such an opportunity. She would like to thank her friends and family, especially her mother, for being so supportive of her, and Dr. Tropeano, for believing in her since day one.

Tanner Tattan '20 Tanner Tattan is a junior at Bishop Fenwick from Beverly. He is playing the role of Mad Hatter in this years' production of Shrek. This is his fourth play at Bishop Fenwick and his eighth production overall. Last year, he played the role of Tomika's dad in School of Rock. He is fortunate to work with such a talented cast and crew and glad you came to support our drama program. He hopes you enjoy this year’s musical-Shrek!

Giulia Tonini '19 Giulia Tonini is a transfer student from Italy, attending Fenwick for senior year.

Shrek is her first musical here at Fenwick, although in her hometown she acted in other shows (such as Anastasia and The Blues Brothers). In this play she will be Sugar Plum Fairy, and she is very excited about that. She is also grateful to Dr T. for giving her this opportunity, her parents for letting her come to the US, and all the other actors who take her home after rehearsal.

Tessa Tropeano '20 Tessa is a junior at Fenwick from Wakefield, MA and this is her fifth production here. She is thrilled to be playing the dragon and a mouse! Tessa loves singing and dancing in musicals and some of her favorite roles have been Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Rafiki in The Lion King and the wicked witch in The Wizard of Oz. Next month she will be appearing as Annie Oakley in Broken Leg Productions Oklahoma. (Come see it!) Tessa is so grateful to be at Fenwick to participate in all of these musical activities, especially going to Disneyworld with the choir. She plans to pursue a performing career.

Thomas Tropeano '19 This is Tom’s eighth production with Fenwick Theatre. He was last seen on this stage as a teacher in School of Rock. He appeared in “The Invasion of Earth as it Happened in Grover’s Mill” and “Bedtime Stories (as told by our Dad who messed them up)” last year. Before that he played Hasler in The Pajama Game, a member of the core cast in 44 Plays for 44 Presidents and in the ensemble of Footloose and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Outside of Fenwick Theatre, Tom played the title role of Barnum in Barnum and Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid and Samuel in The Pirates of Penzance. He’d like to thank everyone who helped out with this huge production and for making his last musical at Fenwick one to remember.

Thank you to the crew for helping him get over his fear of heights (that tower is higher than it looks) and thanks to his family for always supporting him. He will definitely miss his Fenwick family.

Sean Walsh '19 Sean is a senior at Bishop Fenwick and this is the fourth musical he has performed in. He participates in the tech crew for school plays and events and also plays the trumpet in the Fenwick Band. Sean is the captain of the Boy’s Varsity Soccer team, on Varsity Basketball in the winter and competes in Spring Track and Field. Sean has gone to USATF Youth Track Nationals every year since he was a freshman.

Some of his best Fenwick memories have been from being involved in the drama program and he wants to thank Dr. Tropeano and Mrs. Vigneron for all the work they put into each production.

Mary Kate Williams '19 This is Mary Kate's second show at Fenwick and she is so excited to continue her streak of playing roles that end in the number 3. Last year in School of Rock she killed it as emo girl, and in Shrek, she is honored to be able to play one of the 3 little pigs as well as the pied piper. In addition to the musical at Fenwick, she is involved in choir, select choir, and swim team. She is very sad that this will be her last musical at Fenwick and really wishes she started her freshman year. She wants to thank Dr. T and everyone in the cast and crew for making Shrek the best it can be.

Madison Woods '19 Madison is a senior at Fenwick and has been in theatre here since her sophomore year. She has been a part of the past musicals: The Pajama Game, School of Rock, and now Shrek! Outside of the musical, Madison is on the Varsity Girl's Soccer and Lacrosse Teams. She is super excited for everyone to enjoy the show!

Julia Bettencourt ‘19 Julia is a senior at Bishop Fenwick. She is the stage manager for the second time.

Although she chooses to be behind the scenes, Dr. T always incorporates her somehow. She was a part of No Vacancy last year. This year she is featured as the chirping bird. She is very happy that this role does not involve her on stage. Julia hopes you have had a fantastic fall (not in the humpty dumpty way) and enjoy the show!!

Emily Yuu ‘19 Emily is now participating in her sixth show here at Fenwick and this is her third production that she is on the stage. This year she is one of the tapping rats and the assistant director of Shrek The Musical. For the past few shows, she has been Head of the Hair and Makeup and helping out with costumes and has enjoyed every bit of it. Even though being Head of Hair and Makeup was great, being the assistant director has really been quite the experience and wouldn’t give it up for the world.

(Thank you Brendan) Emily has been dancing for 13th years and is now going on to her 14th year. Dance has been such a big part of her life and she is so excited to hit the stage on last time, dancing. Not only is Emily involved with the musical, she is on the Varsity Swim Team, a Peer Leader, in Concert/Pep Band, on Tech Crew for school assemblies, and is also working as a part time swim instructor at Boston Sports Club in Lynnfield and St. John’s Preparatory High School in Danvers. She would like to give a huge thank you to Dr. Tropeano, Mrs. Vigneron, Ms. Foley, Mr. (Professor) Cox, Mr. Berube, Mr. Konigsberg, Brother Thomas, Mr. Grocki, and last but not least the wonderful hardworking cast and crew for making her last musical one she will never forget. Emily would like to especially thank her friends Heloisa, James, Sean, and Julia for all of their hard work and dealing with her 24/7.

Steven Woods '22 Steven is a Freshman from Wakefield. A member of the football team, all he remembers is Mrs. Vigneron handing him a rehearsal schedule and Cory Bright telling him he was going to have a great time on stage. He’s not sure where Cory is but he is enjoying being the final Woods to be killing it on stage.

Joseph Zizza '19 Joey Zizza is a senior here at Fenwick. He has been on the stage crew for our musicals for 2 years and this is his first musical. He is excited to be playing Papa Bear and loves being on the stage. In his free time, Joey plays soccer, basketball, and track. He can’t wait for you to see our shows and hopes you enjoy your night.

Choral Concert celebrating the Advent Season November 27th St. John The Baptist Church, Peabody 7pm Caroling Fundraiser Give the gift of music to a loved one this Christmas season.

For $40, the Concert Choir will go to your home, (friend’s home, neighborhood, place of work, nursing home, Christmas party, etc., etc.) and sing for approx. 15 minutes.
