Dear Members of the Bishop Fenwick and St. Mary’s Communities,
On behalf of the Search Committee, thank you for your continued support and engagement as we move forward in the search for our next President. As shared previously, the Board of Trustees has partnered with Carney, Sandoe & Associates (CSA) to help guide this important process.
The Search Committee has met with the CSA team and is taking a thoughtful, intentional approach to selecting the next leader for our schools. Together, we are committed to finding a President who reflects the shared values of Fenwick and St. Mary’s—someone who will lead with integrity, faith, and vision.
We are now working with CSA to develop the Presidential Search Criteria. Your voices will play an essential role in shaping this key element of the process. The insights of our faculty, staff, parents, students, and alumni will help define the essential qualities and characteristics of the person best suited to serve our schools.
Below is an overview of our next steps and of upcoming opportunities for engagement:
Community Survey
All members of the Fenwick and St. Mary’s communities are invited to complete the attached survey by Monday, October 28, 2025. Responses will remain confidential and will be grouped only by constituency (e.g., Faculty, Parent, Alumni). Click here for a link to the survey.
On-Campus Meetings
CSA representatives will be on campus at both schools next week to conduct in-person sessions with faculty, staff, and parents. At Fenwick, the CSA team will also meet with students. These conversations will focus on identifying our schools’ greatest strengths and opportunities and on the background, experience, and skillset desired in our next President. CSA will visit Fenwick on Wednesday, October 22, and St. Mary’s on Thursday, October 23.
Parent/Guardian Engagement

Alumni Board Meeting
CSA will also participate in Fenwick’s Alumni Board meeting on Saturday, October 25, to ascertain the perspectives and priorities of this representative alumni group.
After gathering and reviewing all feedback, the Search Committee will work with CSA to create a Presidential Search Criteria Document, which we anticipate sharing publicly by November 10, 2025.
