Editor’s Letter

S

ince 1976, President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month, calling upon the public to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.” Since this date every U.S. president has officially designated February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history.

In January, 2021 the transition of one of the most graceful, elegant, purpose driven actresses who loved her Lord Jesus and her culture was Ms Cicely Tyson. She impacted this nation with dignity and grand tenacity bar none. She will be missed but definitely remembered this designated Black History Month.

My personal view is that everyday is Black History because we made it history. We have a responsibility to train our children to become spiritually, intellectually and economically free, as well as being astute to those who made Black History relevant. We must know our history and the youth in my school of business and protocol are taught this weekly.

Too many people think that President Barack Obama was our first Black President. The very first Black leader in a presidential capacity in America was John Hanson.He led this nation at its inception and our Constitutional Founders voted hands down for him to lead this country before George Washington. His wealth made it possible for George Washington to obtain uniforms and shoes for his soldiers in order to win the war. Hanson is responsible for our Thanksgiving holiday, the Presidential Seal and the U S Treasury. He is also on the back of the two dollar bill with the founding fathers and is honored on a US Postage stamp. Know your history!

This month 7figure$ honors Ms Carole Anne-Marie Gist for breaking down the wall of beauty, grace and image to become the first African American Miss USA. Gist victoriously beat our 51 other contestants, winning $88,000 in cash and prizes up to $220,000. She later became the first runner up in the Miss Universe pageant, which I personally felt she should have acquired.

So, Carole Anne-Marie Gist thanks for making history, a Black History acclaim.

Pastor Alphonsine Mukendi

A

lphonsine Mukendi is a woman of God, a devoted mother to six children, and a loving wife. Her life and her work has been planted in the Lord for as long as she can remember, and the fruits of this labor are seen in her home country of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and beyond.

In 1992, Alphonsine and her husband, Evangelist Stephane Nkuna, founded “Ministère de la Réconciliation” (“Ministry of Reconciliation”) a Christian evangelical organization. Its headquarters are in Kinshasa, the capital of the Congo, with several locations throughout the country and even internationally, in countries like South Africa and France.

In April 2000, Alphonsine heard God calling her to do more, specifically for the women of her community. She founded a ministry called “Les Femmes Extraordinaires” (“Extraordinary Women”), which works to empower Congolese women in various aspects, and help them develop the tools to be uplifting forces in their country. The ministry’s mission is fueled by Matthew 5:38-48, where the Lord guides us in the walk of a true Christian, asking “And if you only greet your brothers, what extraordinary thing are you doing?” That question convinced Alphonsine to build with women from all walks of life and reflect the character of Christ.

Bringing together students, entrepreneurs, housewives and women of all kinds, the Ministry of Extraordinary Women aims to provide spiritual guidance rooted in Christ. Alphonsine knew that by helping their hearts draw nearer to God, these women could be luminous examples for the world, shining God’s light in all darkness.

The ministry helps each woman develop a personal relationship with God and break every chain or insecurity, so that she can reach her highest potential – in her family, in her church and in her community.

Faith Flourishing in DRC Generosity is one of the ministry’s pillars, and people all over the Congo have benefited from Alphonsine’s unwavering commitment to giving back. Through material and financial donations – like funding scholarships for students hoping to continue their education, or creating centers to teach people different trades and practical skills – the Ministry of Extraordinary Women plans to continue to pour into its community. This deeply rooted desire to help others was planted by Jesus’ words in Luke 14:12-14, where the Lord says “When you put on a luncheon or a banquet, don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward. Instead, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you.”

Relying on God’s grace and the support of men and women of good faith, Alphonsine plans to keep pushing both of her ministries to new heights, and to fulfill God’s plan for her life.

We were traveling down the road on a rainy dreary day Yet my thoughts were upon You and the words to me You’d say Heaviness filled my heart and a little bit of loneliness too As I pondered my life’s purpose before refocusing my thoughts upon You For many years I’ve felt, that Bathsheba may have been misunderstood She is often portrayed as a temptress, who was vain and up to no good Many say that she tempted David, for a beautiful woman was she She is often portrayed as a woman, who had planned to seduce the king.

I believe that Bathsheba gets a “bum rap” and was a helpless victim of the time For David was the Beloved King, and his summons placed her in a bind I wonder when David summoned her, did she think Uriah hurt?

Would anyone believe her if David’s attention she tried to skirt?

I wonder if she resisted, or had lust consumed the King Did Bathsheba acquiesce, hoping a quick resolution submitting would bring Did she leave David’s presence humiliated, wondering how Uriah she’d face Did she question what she had done wrong, that landed her in this place Did she wonder why David was not off to war, the way he was supposed to be And the next time she bathed did she hide, so that peering eyes could not see Did Ahithophel betray David when he learned what he had done Did Uriah hear the “castle gossip” or know that Bathsheba was the one Did fear grip her heart when her pregnancy was revealed

Upon learning of Uriah’s death, what emotions did she have to conceal?

I believe Bathsheba loved Uriah and his death caused her great pain I wonder when her child died did hopelessness reign in her heart again I believe God restored Bathsheba, for she was “...the poor man’s ewe lamb” whom Uriah loved David was the rich man who took the lamb, and dishonored God above Adultery is sin, but God does not say it’s sinful for a woman to bathe at night David was the aggressor and this sin was not hidden from God’s sight I believe that God redeemed Bathsheba and she grew to love David in time Still the Bible refers to her as,”Uriah’s wife” for God had them intertwined God prophesied about Soloman, how a wise King he would become The sword never departed David’s house, a consequence of what he had done.

David was a man who honored God, except in the instance of Uriah’s wife Bathsheba is listed in Christ’s genealogy, a shining example of a redeemed life No matter what your life may look like, or the daily challenges you face Remember that God can redeem you and the scars of your pain erase.

Carol Hodge The Scent Of Heaven

C

arol Hodge is entrepreneur, artist, designer and heart behind The Scent of Heaven founded in 2006. She is a lifelong artist who loves to create through all sorts of venues: painting on canvas, calligraphy, jewelry making and much more. For a season, she had a shop at the 1904 World’s Fair Building in downtown St. Louis, Missouri where she sold “Dive for a Pearl” with custom jewelry.

In real estate the motto is “ location, location, location” and in 1990 Carol Hodge found a great location to launch her business “Dive For A Pearl”.. To give historical background on her world fashion location we find that in April 1904, St. Louis opened its doors to the world for what was officially called the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, but was widely known as the St. Louis World’s Fair. Millions of dollars had been spent to build the 1,200-acre fairgrounds. During the eight months the fair stayed open, nearly 20 million people paid a visit. On display were marvels of technology, agriculture, art, and history, and there were amusement rides and entertainment. Decades later comes Carol Hodge and her creations to accentuate the World’s Fair Building. Her artistry breathed the heavenly scent throughout. Coupled with this creativity is a strong love of the Lord and a prophetic gifting.

Carol loves spending time with the Lord and seeking His face for answers to questions that occur to her. The Scent of Heaven was birthed in such a fashion. One day Carol was asking the Lord what Heaven smelled like.

What the Lord began to show her was that The Scent of Heaven is all the fragrances, but – much like how a prism can change a single ray of light and separate it into each beam of color – when The Scent of Heaven comes to earth it is separated into multiple heavenly fragrances for us to enjoy.

The Lord has gifted Carol with an ability to blend these heavenly scents together to create little slices of heaven for us to enjoy here on earth. Both on her own and working with prophetic intercessors, Carol continues to create these heavenly scents as the Spirit reveals them – she’s birthed anointing oils and perfumed oils named His Passion, Warrior, The Promise, Wait Upon the Lord, In His Hands, Oil of Melchizedek and many more. Each one has a story, a message, and purpose.

The Creator’s Essence The Creator’s Essence is a devotional authored by Carol Hodge; it comes from Carol’s years of study and life experiences. The Devotional is arranged alphabetically based on the anointing oils which were created by Carol for her business to express the Creator’s essence. The Creator has placed His essence in His creation and is reflected in what may be seen (Romans 1:20-KJV - For the invisible things of him from the cre-

Women Arise The Women Arise series of oils was birthed from a dream/vision the Lord gave Carol in which she saw names in darkness. They started floating and as they floated by she could see names of women in the bible. Looking down she saw a row of bottles and above the bottles were the words “Women Arise.” She could see names of various women of the bible on each of the bottles with the exception of the last bottle which was blank.

Carol asked the Lord, “what is her name?” (referring to the blank bottle), but the Lord didn’t respond. Weeks went by and she asked her intercessor friends to pray so she would know who the last bottle was.

Suddenly, after weeks of prayer and seeking, when she asked the Lord yet again, “what is her name?” He replied, “The Dove.” Then Carol understood that The Dove represents Us the twenty first century woman with “dove’s eyes” and a heart after God. Julie Mukendi “A Woman of Destiny-Moving Forward”

L

ife was very different for me 24 years ago.

I was a wife, mother and career woman living in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I had studied law and political science and constantly dreamed of contributing to the development of my country. For years, I worked in political cabinets, advising the country’s top decision makers and trying to make a positive difference. Everything changed in the summer of 1997

A coup d’état further destabilized the country’s political landscape. Chaos ensued. The population suffered. Many had only one prayer: to find refuge and opportunity elsewhere. My husband and I grabbed our 4 children and moved to New York City, trying to rebuild our lives from the ground up.

Through this winding journey of the past 24 years, and throughout my life, I only had one compass: my Christian faith. My God has been incredibly faithful. He helped my husband and I begin new careers, and guided us to give our children a good education and upbringing. Everyone has found their way, leaving me to ask the question: How else can God use my life?

In December 2015, I traveled back home to Congo. Instead of staying in the capital city like I normally do, I felt the urge to visit the village of Kambala, my father’s hometown in the province of Central Kasai. It was my first time ever visiting this special place. I was greeted with love by the people there, and introduced myself as Mama Julie, who’s originally from Kambala and came all the way from America. This made them giddy with laughter and intrigue.

Besides the natural beauty of the place, I noticed the great need for basic resources in health care and education. On my first day in the village, a baby boy was born in a hut. No furniture, just a stool with some medicine piled up. Shortly afterwards, a young mother with a radiant smile held her newborn son “Moise.” I congratulated her and chatted with Mama Monique, the 58-year-old midwife who has devoted her life to helping women give birth as safely as possible in such poor conditions.

The children I met have a cherished place in my heart. I saw them attending school in an open hut made with palm tree branches. There’s no secondary schooling, so students have to walk nearly 10 kilometers each way – fighting through grass taller than themselves – to attend school in one of the other villages. And above all of this, girls are not allowed to get an education. They’re needed at home, to help care for their siblings while their mothers work in the fields. The girls I spoke with, ranging from 7 to 13 years old, impressed me with their intelligence – their incredible, healthy curiosity and the various questions they asked about any and everything, from my phone camera to the French language. You could feel the desire to learn. Surprised parents wondered what I could be talking about for so long with their daughters. I thanked God for allowing me to reconnect to my roots in this way.

When I came back to my quiet, little cocoon in New York City – I couldn’t stop thinking about Kambala and its knowledge-thirsty children. I had to get back to helping my country develop, and fully pursue God’s plan for my life. So in 2017, I created an NGO. The “Lupita Luenda Initiative, Inc.” (“Moving Forward”) is committed to bringing quality education to the girls of Kambala. LLI also wants to build a health center to provide health care for the community, especially the mothers. We know that an uplifted woman can improve the quality of life for her whole community, and I’m trusting God for the change we will see in Kambala. For the past 3 years, we haven’t been permitted to do anything locally because of political unrest. We’ve been sowing and now we are ready to sprout in 2021, with the help of kind-hearted people who believe in our mission. With God as our source, anything is possible.

Leadership In The Workplace Is A Calling

L

eadership in general is a daily encounter full of surprises and tough decision-making. Christians found in secular workplace are viewed by many as a waste of time. To them, secular leadership is not important. The mindset of many Christians is kingdom business in the Church realm only. Their mandate is souls are perishing so become a pastor, evangelist, or apostle and go into the world and preach the gospel. Ensuring that men and women escape hell is an urgency for all.

However, what some African Christians fail to realize is that the command in Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” This mandate can be fulfilled when Christians focus on creating a niche for themselves not only in ministry but in academia, business, entertainment, politics amongst others. Indeed, excelling in secular leadership is important because many people may not come to church to hear the Word of God. Yet, a disciple of Jesus who is a manager in the bank has access to staff and customers and through this relationship a life can be transformed and a soul won for Jesus Christ.

I can make a difference in the lives of the people who serve under me as well as my superiors. I purpose to excel in a career outside the church and remain faithfully inc church serving God. I understand the fact that Holy Ghost can empower me to witness into my uttermost part of the world in my chosen profession.

He spurred me on to contend for Secretary of the students union, known as the Students Representative Council (SRC). One of the things the Lord did was promote me to a godly position becoming a role model to many female students. These women encountered me during my years as SRC Secretary and later as President of the Council of the University of Ghana.

Subsequently, after graduating from the University with a degree in Political Science, I was privileged to serve the Government of Ghana at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between September 2005 and August 2006. My immediate manager was a woman with younger children and anytime she had an evening shift, I volunteered to work her shift in order for her to be with her children and I would call her if there was an emergency to be attended to. I was led to operate in the love of God in her behalf. God had me demonstrate His love in a world where people are selfish and care for only themselves.

In the years 2009 and 2015, I served in the Passport Office under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. My duties included interaction with applicants to ascertaintheir needs and the urgency of their situations. The role demanded fairness, firmness and having an incorrigible nature and by the grace of God I performed in love. I was able to serve hundreds of people within the five years I served and truly made a difference for God and country.

Later, I was selected to into a ground-breaking training as an analyst in the first National Border Fusion Center (NBFC) in Sub-Saharan Africa, where I work with representatives of other government agencies, NGO’s.

This position caters to the private sector to influence policy as well as the capacity building of public servants enabling me the opportunity to train others. As Administrator of NBFC I contribute to the drafting of Communication and Implementation plans for GoG public policies. In doing all these amazing things that my job entails, it’s a pleasure and privilege to preach the Word to the people I encounter in my line of work whenever I can.

Preaching of the Word of God in church is what I’m called to do when assigned from time to time is of great joy to me. Having an intimate relationship with God led me to author and publish “When Men Fell Asleep” (2011). The focus of this book was to encourage the women in the Ghanaian society to take up leadership roles. God has given us a mandate to fulfil on earth as individuals. Each of us have been given talent. You may be called to serve full time in the church, praise the Lord for this exceptional calling, but do not condemn those whose giftings and talents place them in secular positions.

My mentorship program under the Develop Youth Consult NGO allows me to coach young people. I offer leadership training to youth, where I apply biblical principles to various topics. I look forward to serving in a political office in Ghana in the near future according to Proverbs 29:2 (KJV) - “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

We as Christians cannot sit on the fence, its time to focus on growing spiritually but also accepting to serve in other spheres and occupying until Jesus comes.

Shana Sprung-Reiz Israel’s Number One Female Quarterback

I

I was born in North Miami beach, youngest child of 4, a sister and 2 older brothers. My family made Aliyah to Jerusalem, Israel when I was 3 years old.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. I was a tom boy from day 1 and was always running around playing sports. Being an observant orthodox Jew made it a bit more challenging for me to find teams for girls that would also cater to my religious needs (mainly not playing on the sabbath). I never played organized sports growing up, it was always football in the basement with my older brothers or pickup basketball with the girls and mainly boys in the neighborhood.

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 16, so that added an extra struggle while playing sports, but I was raised in a house hold that taught me not to let diabetes hold me back and to this day I never use it as an excuse for anything, it is a part of me.

My first encounter with football in Israel was at the age of 17. I was watching some of my high school guy friends playing flag football and was approached by Steve Leibowitz the president of American Football in Israel. He asked me if I wanted to play and I asked – where do I sign up?

And the rest is history…. Steve brought in Yonah Mishaan to set up and coach the first women’s national team. We flew to our first international championship in the Dominican Republic (in 2004) we then came back to Israel and created a women’s flag football league for girls/women from the age of 12 and up (started out with 4 teams and today we have more than 14!)

Our biggest supporter and sponsor was the late Myra (z”l) (and Robert) Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots. The men and boys were playing for a few years already and Myra always wondered where the girls were?

We were known as Myra’s girls and we always would look forward to her special visits. After Myra passed away in 2011 we dedicated the women’s league in her name. Both our men’s and women’s national teams still wear MHK (her initials) on our sleeves.

I enjoy playing in our women’s league as well as our co-ed league! Its always more competitive when you are playing against the guys!

I have traveled to 13 different countries and 17 different cities. I have won 2 Silver medals, 1 Bronze medals, 1 MVP award in the official European championships.

ootball also helped me pick my profession. Starting in 2008 I started studying personal training, athletic training and in 2016 I received my bachelor’s in physical therapy which is what my main focus is now. I am a Sports Physical therapist, I treat all types of athletes. My background as a player has helped me become a better clinician.

inally. I married my best friend and the love of my life 3 months ago. I first met my husband, Gideon Reiz when he joined the men’s national team. We both played for Israel flag football national teams, we started out as good friends and slowly realized we had A LOT in common. I am looking forward to watching the league grow, as more girls get involved the potential is endless. Maybe even one day having my own kids playing & representing Israel in the Olympics!

Carole Anne-Marie Gist It’s African - American Miss USA

Carole Anne Marie Gist, born May 8, 1969 a native and jewel of Detroit, Michigan became Miss Michigan in 1990. Following this major award she became the first African American female to win the Miss USA pageant in Wichita, Kansas on March 2, 1990. This achievement was personal and the highlight for cheering supporters of Detroit. Everyone remembers where they were when she won. Further competition in 1990 the current reigning Miss

USA at age 20 became the first Runner-Up for the Miss Universe competition.

What a track record!

Gist, standing statuesquely at 6 feet with impeccable beauty that all can see has an even greater in-depth beauty inside. Her accomplishments became a calling card for young girls that were drawn to her like a magnet. Gist used her gift of beauty to witness Jesus to them. She provided

transportation to bringing approximately 15-20 girls to church each Sunday putting one of her multifaceted talents to work for the Kingdom of God. My personal relationship with Carole was one of respect and transparency. Her confidence in my fashion consulting and retail operation allotted me opportunity to provide her daughter Tylar image and etiquette training at a young age. This proved to be rewarding, seeing how her daughter became such an elegant lady as her mom. Carole and I worked by shooting a fashion commercial for my business Elah Image in Detroit. The favor of God

was present providing me with Carole Anne-Marie Gist, Miss USA and the top fashion models in Michigan, my sister Michelle Jefferson and Mr. Regis Johnson.

Not only did she provide the involvement in the commercial but was a client of my business which catered ti celebrities in the sports and entertainment fields.

Gist is an affluent entrepreneur of Royal Physique Fitness and shares her skill set as a Physical Fitness Coordinator at Wayne State University. Health and fitness is a daily habit for her.

Gist is a graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit where Dianna Ross and other notables attended. Gist achieved even more in her passion for excellence in education displayed in her recent Masters Degree in Sports Administration. She obtained all A’s in every class graduating from Wayne State University in 2020 despite a pandemic. This remarkable woman maintains her beauty and brawn. At age 51 she gives other women the motivation to stay physically and mentally fit, always striving for excellence.

uring the time frame of June 25, 1962, the U.S. Supreme Court declared school-sponsored prayers unconstitutional by a landmark case (Engel v. Vitale), the public outrage was immediate and widespread. For millions of Americans, Engel v. Vitale had unquestionably “kicked God out of school.”

Prophetically, nine months later, Dr. Gwendolyn Bradley was born in Prattville Alabama to serve as a profound Intercessor for the nation. Raised by her grandparents within the Church, she clearly remembers conversing with God while actively serving as a key church youth leader.

God’s display of prophetic actions during 1963 were ever present and persistent as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. pens his famous echoing letter from the Birmingham Alabama Jail for protesting against segregation. Civil Rights was in operation at every level. Finally non-violence stood up against civil injustice. Notwithstanding, Alabama’s Governor George Wallace negative stance was in the doorway of the University of Alabama, yet God was still on the scene.

Additional prophetic and political movement continued during 1963 and beyond as John F. Kennedy addressed Americans from the Oval Office proposing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that would revolutionize American society. Prophetically proposing equal access to public facilities, the end of segregation in education and the guarantee federal protection for voting rights.

It was in the midst of this racially segregated culture that Dr. Bradley entered elementary school, the divine enrollment of God’s prophetic voice. Her love for people established a multicultural platform of communication (not without conundrum), but created a friendship arena of prayer.

It was during this controversial time period she realized that racism was alive and well in the State of Alabama, but prayer was the key to unlock and free hearts and minds incarcerated by racism.

he prophetic favor continued during her senior year in high school. She was chosen as the first African American in the school’s history to participate in a Presidential Classroom for Young Americans Students (a Governmental mentorship program in Washington, D.C.) This prophetic favor allowed her to meet President Ronald Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher of Great Britain. A divine experience and opportunity for a future view to shape the strategic prayer assignments that she would later receive from the Lord.

Currently Dr. Bradley serves in the National Day of Prayer Task Force, National Liaison for Mobilization and Partnerships, and also as The First African American National Area Leader of the Southeast (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands). She has graciously used this platform to teach on Racial Reconciliation and Unity in the Body of Christ Dr. Bradley Is a Prayer Ambassador for LIFE Academy, SWAT (Sports World Against Trafficking). She Serves on the Executive Board of LIFE on Wheels (a mobile unit with an ultrasound). Dr. Bradley is the Overseer of Prattville Watchman, Intercessors who pray onsite w/insight for their city. She serves as the Daughters For Zion Southeast Alabama Regional Coordinator.

Her dedication to the ministry of prayer has been featured on TBN, Atlanta Live, Preach The Word Worldwide Network, UCOM in Unity, Moody Radio Network, Faith Radio Magazine and many other media outlets.

Dr. Bradley and her husband, Bishop (Prelate and Lieutenant Colonel Retired US Army) Willie L. Bradley are the Founders and Pastors of Anointed Remnant International Ministry in Prattville, Alabama.

She was consecrated into The Office of Prophetess and serves as

the Senior International Prophetess of Anointed Remnant Global Assemblies, an International Apostolic Hub providing mentorship to leaders in North America, The Caribbean, Asia, Australia, Europe, Liberia, Gwendolyn Bradley Orphanage (Kenya) and Gwendolyn Bradley Girls School of Excellence (Liberia). She is the founder and Master Teacher of Ruach School of the Prophetic.

She Strongly believes and lives the motto: “Prayer Changes Everything!� Her passion is prayer and it has opened the door to many radical assignments that have taken her around the world and given her supernatural strength in the midst of many challenging life circumstances. Rose Mukhwana What’s In Your House?

Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”. - 2 Kings 4:2 NIV In the midst of unemployment along comes a pandemic that strikes without discretion. Webuye Town is a cosmopolitan town with a population of 34,968 according to the bureau of statistics 2015. Most of the people living in Webuye Town depend on businesses as the main source of income. Pan Paper Mill was a major business that provided jobs in the village collapsed 13 years ago. The closure of this factory affected single and widowed women who depended on the factory for income. Most of their children stopped schooling as these women would no longer be able to provide basic needs and other supports for the well-being of their children.

A story of Rose Mukhwana, a single mother of three boys aged 24, 22 and 13 and one adopted homeless boy aged 17 a resident of Webuye who depended on the industry for her income.

Rose Mukhwana had to venture into a small business which enabled her later to start a company supplying construction material such as sand. It was a small company she started from her savings. The business didn’t go well as those had given her tenders of supplying building and construction materials failed to pay her. This situation made her business to collapse. Her eldest son was attending the university studying at the mercy of good wishers.

Rose Mukhwana a mother of three, today prepares hawks boiled eggs, sausages, flatbread to sell on a daily basis to meet her personal needs and for her children. These cannot meet all her needs as her target customers are afraid of Covid. Due to all these challenges, she believes in God that one day, her life will come back to normal by bringing one in her life who will make her dream come true.

Rose has sought the support of Widow Empowerment Africa, whose assistance to her and many others in businesses has been holistic that engage them to form groups, and train them especially in business.

In their groups they’re encouraged to start up financial banking from a table banking capacity.

Rose and other women in similar positions are free to gather together under the umbrella of Widow Empowerment to discuss the issues that affect them.

They collaborate with each other in activities for their self-sustainability.

Each of them know that all things work together for good to them that love God. To them who are called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28.

They believe after the removal of the lockdown due to COVID their lives will come back to normal. Schools reopened January 4th and mothers have no surety whether their children will make it to school due to difficulties with the need to promote their businesses. This requires their children as employees without pay to aid in the sale of their products in order to survive.

‘Thus says the LORD, “Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor. Also do not mistreat or do violence to the stranger, the orphan, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place.

God’s blessing comes with caring for the orphans and widows.
