From the Editor

October arrives with a quiet strength — the kind that doesn’t shout, but settles. It’s the kind of strength that reminds us we are not entering this new season empty. We are entering equipped. As I curated this month’s issue, one theme kept rising to the surface: capacity. The capacity to overcome, to shift, to see differently, and to step into what God has already placed within us. This edition is designed to meet you right there — in the places where you’re growing, stretching, and becoming. We begin with a powerful teaching from Dr. Norman Davis, who reminds us that triggers don’t have the authority to control us. Through scripture, he shows us that God has already given us power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) and spiritual weapons strong enough to pull down every stronghold (2 Corinthians 10:4–5) . It’s a message of ownership — of reclaiming your peace, your responses, and your emotional territory. Our fashion feature, “What’s In Your Closet?”, shifts your perspective from consumption to creativity. As we transition from summer into fall and winter, this article invites you to rediscover the beauty, versatility, and abundance already hanging in your wardrobe. Style becomes less about buying and more about becoming — choosing pieces that reflect who you are in this season. MyraMeilleure Magazine

And in Bits & Pieces, we lean into the truth that we are already equipped for what God has called us to do. Everything pertaining to life and godliness has been given to us (2 Peter 1). You are not stepping into October unprepared. You are stepping in with divine provision, spiritual authority, and the grace to carry out your assignment. This month’s magazine is a reminder: You have the tools. You have the strength. You have the style. You have the Word. You have what you need for this season — and the next. Welcome to the October Edition. Walk boldly. Walk equipped. Walk in purpose. — Myra Meilleure Editor‑in‑Chief MyraMeilleure Bits & Pieces Magazine

"TRIGGER NOT THE HORSE!" The Roy Rogers Show was a popular American Western television program that aired on NBC from 1951 to 1957. It starred Roy Rogers as a brave rancher and lawman, Dale Evans as the “Queen of the West,” and Trigger, Roy’s intelligent golden palomino horse. In psychology, a trigger is a sensory reminder or situation that sets off an intense, involuntary emotional or physical reaction.

External triggers: Places, sounds, smells, specific people, or certain dates and anniversaries. Places that remind you of your past: To overcome that trigger, the answer is found in Isaiah 26:3a: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee."

(Isaiah 43:18) Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee. Also in (Philippians 3:13): forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Sounds- Sirens can cause reactions of fear; the screeching sounds sometimes cause panic. But the word of God says in Psalm 98:4 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. (Ephesians 5:19) 19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; SMELLS, Perfumes and colognes, Cigarette smoke, Perfumes and colognes triggers are a little different than all the rest. But first, let's look at Isaiah 3:24: instead of sweet smell, there shall be stink. ( Psalm 141: 2) Let my prayer be counted as incense before You; Perfumes and Colognes can be both negative and positive triggers,

Truth be told, there are probably more negative triggers than positive triggers; you get triggered by the smell of certain perfume that reflects back to a lost loved one, or that old wife or husband that cheated on you. The cigarette smoke is more positive than you can possibly realize; the smell of it makes you nauseous, you start coughing, then you need to rejoice: you just validated your 2 Cor. 5:17 experience as a new creature. That looks at External triggers: things that are on the outside of us. Internal triggers: Feelings of rejection, anxiety, bodily pain, or sudden memories.

REJECTION: Rejection is defined as the experience of being excluded, denied, or devalued by another person or group. (Genesis 37:23-24) 23 So when Joseph arrived, his brothers ripped off the beautiful robe he was wearing. 24 Then they grabbed him and threw him into the cistern. Now the cistern was empty; there was no water in it. They threw Joseph in a toilet, which is sometimes how we feel about ourselves: that we are wading in a place of waste, space, and time. UT god has a way to cause some of those who threw you away to seek you out for restitution. 11 “The Lord has not chosen any of them,” Samuel told Jesse. “Are these all there are?”Well, there is the youngest,” Jesse replied. “But he’s out in the fields watching the sheep.”

But God sees us differently ( John 3:1 TLB ) 3 See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children—think of it—and we really are! But since most people don’t know God, naturally they don’t understand that we are his children. Therefore, We Can Cry Abba, Father. I only have time to address one ANXIETY, and that's: PHOBIAS: FEAR. There are many types of fear, but there are approximately 106 FEARS listed from A-Z, 5 MAIN SPECIFIC PHOBIAS, AND THEY ARE IN 5 GENERAL CATEGORIES. Some experience loneliness (Matthew 28:20). Jesus said, Lo, I Am With You Always, Even Unto The End Of The World. Amen. We have been given a defense mechanism that defeats all 106+ fears.

You’ve Got The Power (2 Timothy 1:7 )7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. So now you know you have SPIRITUAL WEAPONS TO OVERCOME CARNAL BATTLES (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ) 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds ;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

6. Identify the Gaps (This Is Where Shopping Comes In) Once you’ve styled your closet intentionally, the gaps become obvious: Maybe you need a great pair of boots. Maybe your outerwear feels outdated. Maybe you’re missing a neutral knit that ties everything together. Shopping becomes purposeful — not impulsive. You’re building a wardrobe, not collecting clothes.

7. Style With Intention, Not Abundance Luxury isn’t about having more. It’s about choosing well, wearing what you love, and creating outfits that feel like you. Shopping your closet is the first step toward a wardrobe that’s: Curated Elevated Personal Sustainable Spirit‑aligned Fall and winter invite you to slow down, refine, and rediscover your identity through style.

You Are Equipped 1 Peter 1:1-4 1. Simon Peter, a servant, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ 2. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord 3. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 4. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:5-7 5. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge. 6. And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness. 7. And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

We are equipped for everything we are called to do in life and godliness; through Christ, we already have everything we need. Whatever you desire and are called to accomplish, you can do through Christ. All things are possible with Him, and greater is He who is within us—He empowers us to fulfill our calling. Believe and have faith. Faith is confidently trusting the person or thing. Add to your faith virtue— moral excellence that proves what you believe through your actions. When you truly believe in that product, person, or promise, you will live it out. The time has come to walk and speak with the authority God has given us. So let us rise, move forward, and walk boldly in the power entrusted to us.

Genesis 38 Gen 38:1 And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah. Gen 38:2 And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her. Gen 38:3 And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er. Gen 38:4 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan. Gen 38:5 And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him. Gen 38:6 And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar. Gen 38:7 And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him. Gen 38:8 And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. Gen 38:9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. Gen 38:10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also. Gen 38:11 Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.

Gen 38:12 And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite. Gen 38:13 And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep. Gen 38:14 And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife. Gen 38:15 When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face. Gen 38:16 And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me? Gen 38:17 And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it? Gen 38:18 And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him. Gen 38:19 And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood. Gen 38:20 And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.

Gen 38:21 Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place. Gen 38:22 And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place. Gen 38:23 And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her. Gen 38:24 And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt. Gen 38:25 When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff. Gen 38:26 And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more. Gen 38:27 And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb. Gen 38:28 And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first. Gen 38:29 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez. Gen 38:30 And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

Genesis 39 Gen 39:1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. Gen 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. Gen 39:3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. Gen 39:4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. Gen 39:5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. Gen 39:6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured. Gen 39:7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. Gen 39:8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; Gen 39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

Gen 39:10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. Gen 39:11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. Gen 39:12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. Gen 39:13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, Gen 39:14 That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: Gen 39:15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out. Gen 39:16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home. Gen 39:17 And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: Gen 39:18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out. Gen 39:19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. Gen 39:20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.

Gen 39:21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Gen 39:22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. Gen 39:23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.
