CELEBRATING THE FEAST OF THE PRESENTATION

At our 10.30am service at St Mary’s Church Beverley on Sunday 09 February, we will be reminded that at the tender age of forty days Jesus the infant child of Christmas is recognised by two devout Jews in the temple in Jerusalem to be the one who God had sent to redeem all people on earth, Jews and non-Jews. As we recognise Jesus to be a light to the world so we will all leave church with a lit candle to remind us that we are to be lights to the world also!
