Events & Notices DAWN COLLINS IS BACK IN JULY

Awakening the Soul workshop Sunday 20 July at the Cornerstone building and private readings on Monday 21 July. Bookings are essential and can be made at the CRC or online. Please call our staff on 9646 1600.

ASTRONOMY CLASSES IN JULY

Registrations are now open for the fortnightly astronomy classes with Brian! Starting in term 3, ages 9+. You’ll be learning to use telescopes and create star charts. There’ll be moon and planet observation nights. Register your interest today on 9646 1600.

NATURE BASED SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Did you know we have carnivorous plants right here in Beverley? This fun workshop will be in the next school holidays on Thursday 17 July, 9.30am to 11.30am.

CLEAN UP DAY II

The Beverley River Care Group invites volunteers to join us on Wednesday 25 June at 9am at the river side of Apex Park. We’ll be doing an emu bob on the river bank going south. Gloves and rubbish bags provided

by KABC. All welcome!

JIVE/ROCK ‘N’ ROLL IS BACK

Jive/Rock ‘N’ Roll group is back on Friday’s at the RSL Hall starting at 7pm. Great fun for all skill levels, bring a friend along to join in the dancing. For more information contact Bob on 0447 515 153.

STAY ACTIVE

Stay Active, gentle exercise sessions for seniors and others, are held on Tuesday mornings at 9.00am at the Recreation Centre, cost $1. Newcomers always welcome, just turn up.

SERVICE FOR THE FIFTH SUNDAY IN THE MONTH

A combined service for members of the Anglican parishes of Beverley-Brookton, Northam, Quairading and York will take place this Sunday 29 June at 10am at Holy Trinity Church, York. Following service a “bring and share” meal will be enjoyed. The service will celebrate the Festival of Light which recalls the arrival of Christianity to the people of the islands of the Torres Strait on 01 July, 1871. There will be no service at St Mary’s Church, Beverley.

AUTHOR RACHAEL JOHNS IS COMING

We have successfully secured funding from State Library of WA, to get award winning WA author Rachael Johns to Beverley on Friday 05 September. Bookings are now open, call 9646 1600, seats are limited.
