SJA BEVERLEY SUB CENTRE

A new office administrator Jennifer Donaldson, has been appointed and office is OPEN once again for the general public with any queries etc. Office hours are Tuesday & Friday 9.00am to 2.00pm.

BEVERLEY 1946 BOOKS

The Beverley Historical Society has copies of Beverley 1946 available for purchase. Just $40 each at the Dead Finish Museum. Contact Anne Fisher 0458 472 055.

CWA COMMUNITY MORNING TEA

Wednesday 12 June, CWA of Western Australia is celebrating 100 years. Come join us at the RSL hall for a cuppa, raffle and guest speakers. Starting at 9.30am, we hope to see you there. Contact Pat Hambly on 9646 1481 for more details.

MENS SHED RAFFLE

Join the Mens Shed at the Lions Kiosk on the 31 May and 01 June. Meat vouchers, supplied by T-Bone and Sons, and a mystery prize to be won, just $5 per ticket. Raffle will be drawn on 01 June.

ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONSECRATION

All are invited to come and celebrate the anniversary of the 1863 consecration of St Paul’s Church at Edward’s Crossing. This service will be held on Sunday 26 May at 4.00pm. Following the service enjoy a meal with others at a local hotel.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

Craig McKeough is offering workshops on botanical contact prints on paper using eucalyptus leaves at the Station on 26, 27 and 29 May, 10.00am to 2.00pm each day. No experience needed, all materials supplied, cost is $100. Enquiries to craigmckeoughart@gmail.com. Betty McKeough will be working on textile projects and designs for a new jewellery collection. Both artists have work for sale and welcome visitors, Thursday to Sunday , 11.00am to 3.00pm or whenever the sign is out.

BEVERLEY AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM OPEN

The Beverley Agricultural Museum located at Avondale Farm just 5.5kms from town along Waterhatch Road will be open to the public on Saturday 25 May between 9.00am and 2.00pm. Entry is free. The museum houses nearly 150 years of 19th and 20th century Wheatbelt farming machinery. Ring John on 9646 0768 or Beverley shire on 9646 1200 for a private viewing appointment or further information regarding volunteering and restoration.

STORYTIME VOLUNTEERS

The Early Years Network are looking for expressions of interest for volunteer Storytime readers. If you are interested, text Jaime on 0416 461 146.

JUNIOR FICTION BOOK DONATION

The Beverley Library and Early Years Network are collaborating on an exciting yet-to be announced project. We are now taking donations of no longer wanted, good condition junior books. You can drop off your previously loved books to the Beverley Library. For large quantities please speak to Alyssa before drop off.

BEVERLEY BADMINTON CLUB

JIVE/ROCK ‘N’ ROLL IS BACK

Jive/Rock ‘N’ Roll group is back at the RSL Hall on Thursdays starting at 7.00pm. Great fun for all skill levels, bring a friend along to join in the dancing. For more information contact Bob on 0447 515 153.
