DREAMS OF A LONELY PLANET

On Saturday 20 September we have award-winning theatre coming to Beverley to spark imaginations big and small! Dreams of a Lonely Planet combines puppetry, dance and music in a joyful adventure of friendship and courage. After the show, kids can join a free creative dance workshop to make their own magic. The show starts at 12.30pm at the Beverley Town Hall, tickets prices are: family $30, child $10. Bookings: www.trybooking.com/DDXEH

THOMAS THE TANK WESCARPADE 2025

Our local Wescarpade team, Graham & Monica Camenzuli are in Kalgoorlie today and they are heading home to Beverley via Narembeen and Brookton. The amazing group of people are landing in Beverley on Saturday 20 September. All of the WesCARpade cars will be on display at the Town Oval from 12.30pm onwards, then they are headed to York for the night. If you would like to support them by donating to their Camp Quality fundraising page to help give kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again, click here.

KPP PRODUCE STALL

The KPP Produce Stall are having a stall on Saturday 04 October, 8am - 1pm at the Lions Shelter, next to IGA. If you have anything homemade or homegrown that you would like to donate, please take it to the lovely team at Avon Trading by COB Friday 03 October or contact Kelly Mann for more info 0428 779 234.

JIVE/ROCK ‘N’ ROLL IS BACK

Jive/Rock ‘N’ Roll group is back on Friday’s at the RSL Hall starting at 7pm. Great fun for all skill levels, bring a friend along to join in the dancing. For more information contact Bob on 0447 515 153.

STAY ACTIVE

Stay Active, gentle exercise sessions for seniors and others, are held on Tuesday mornings at 9.00am at the Recreation Centre, cost $1. Newcomers always welcome, just turn up.

BEVERLEY AG MACHINERY MUSEUM

The Beverley Agricultural Machinery Museum collection (located at Avondale Farm, 5.5kms from town on Waterhatch Road) will be open to the public on Saturday 28 September between 9.00am and 3.00pm. Entry is free. The museum houses nearly 150 years of wheatbelt farming machinery. Ring John on 9646 0768 for a private viewing appointment or further information regarding volunteering and restoration.

Congratulations

GEMMA UGLE

Congratulations to our very talented local singer Gemma Ugle. Gemma was the opening act for Lucy Durack on Thursday 11 September at the Beverley Town Hall. Gemma joined the Beverley Station singers in July 2024, and she performed at the Choir Bash. If you missed her performance last week, she often hits the stage for karaoke at the Freemasons Tavern.

OUTBACK AIR RACE 2025 - TEAM ATom

The Sattler family have safely returned home to Beverley after flying more than 2,000 nautical miles across the outback to raise money for the RFDS. Starting in Yulara in the Northern Territory to Carnavon in Western Australia. Well done to Alan, Jo and Henry Sattler, the trio’s fundraising efforts have contributed to the $1 million that was collectively raised by all the participants for the Royal Flying Doctors Service.

This Sunday 21 September at a 3.00pm service at the Church of St John in the Wilderness, The Dale, the witness and ministry of John Ramsden Wollaston, an early pioneer of the Church in WA, will be recalled with great thanksgiving. There will be no morning service at St Mary’s Church, Beverley.
