2023 BEVERLEY ROSE SHOW Get your roses ready for the annual Rose Show! Held on 27 & 28 October. Be sure to check out the beautiful entries this year, $2 entry. Devonshire teas will be available for purchase, as fundraiser for the Beverley Swimming Club.
BEVERLEY COMMUNITY GARDEN The Beverley Community Garden is offering tomato plants for just $2 and rhubarb plants for $4. If you’re interested in purchasing a plant, please contact us at 0400 569 971.
SUNDAY SERVICE The only service in the Parish of Beverley-Brookton on Sunday 15 October will be at 3.00 pm at St John in the Wilderness Church, Dale. We will commemorate the story of ‘The Beheading of John the Baptist.’ After the service, please stay for a “bring and share” afternoon tea. There will be no service on the day in either St Mary’s Church, Beverley or St Mark’s Church, Brookton. COMMEMORATION ST ANDREW’S CHURCH Sunday 15 October there will be a service at 9.30 am at St Andrew’s Church, Greenhills to commemorate the 111th anniversary of the consecration of the Church and the 141st anniversary of the building of the first church in that district, Greenhills is in the Parish of York. BEVERLEY AGRICULTUAL MACHINERY MUSEUM The Shire of Beverley’s Agricultural Machinery Museum (located at Avondale Farm in Waterhatch Rd 6km from town) will be open to the public from 8.30 am until 12.30 pm on Saturday 21 October, admission is free. BEVERLEY MEN’S SHED RAFFLE 14 October, between 8.00am and 12.00pm, at the Lions Kiosk. Drawn 14 October. There are four prizes up for grabs. All proceeds from the raffle are to support the Royal Flying Doctors and the Beverley Men’s Shed.
