ST JOHNS FIRST AID COURSE

One day first aid training in Beverley, Sunday 28 May, from 8.30am to 4.30pm at the Beverley Sub Centre, John Street. Course cost: $160 per person, includes morning tea & lunch, registrations are essential, online bookings: stjohnwa.com.au or phone 9334 1233.

BEVERLEY AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM

The Beverley Shire Agricultural Machinery Museum (located within the grounds of Avondale Farm in Waterhatch road) will be open to the general public on Saturday 20 May from 8.30am until noon, entry is free. For more information ring John on 9646 0768 or Shire of Beverley on 9646 1200.

TRUCK LICENCE TRAINING

Busselton Advance Driver Training will be coming to Beverley to conduct truck licence training for HR 2425 July and MC 22 - 25 July. Fees are HR $1,795 and MC $2,995 payable prior to commencement of training. Contact the CRC on 9646 1600 to register your spot.

Graham Barrett-Lennard passes on his gratitude and thanks to the members of the Beverley Fire Brigade who attended the fire on the premises 8024 on 30 March 2023. Thank you all for giving your time away from work. Also I would like to thank Geoff Bremner who gave up his time when he has better things to do.

BEVERLEY MENS SHED RAFFLE WINNERS

The support of our local community has seen our group raise to date $650 for the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS). We would like to congratulate the following raffle winners. RFDS raffle: 1st prize - J Green $100 meat voucher, 2nd prize - MP Smith $50 meat voucher, 3rd prize Bernadette $25 meat voucher and the mystery prize was won by Sharon from Brookton.

BLESSING OF THE PLOUGH

While it might be more appropriate to begin the planting season by blessing a seeder and a boom spray the tradition and intent continues with a service at St John in the Wilderness Church at the Dale this Sunday 14 May at 10.00am with a “bring and share” meal to follow. There will be no service at St Mary’s Church, Beverley – all roads lead to the Dale!
