SHIRE OF BEVERLEY PUBLIC NOTICE The date of the October Ordinary Council Meeting has changed to 3.00pm, Wednesday 30 October 2024. The previous date advertised was Wednesday 23 October 2024.

BLESSING OF THE FLEECE In acknowledgement of the ongoing significance of the wool industry in the Beverley and Brookton Shires there will be a ceremony of the Blessing of the Fleece at a 3.00pm service on Sunday 13 October at St John in the Wilderness Church the Dale. A bring and share afternoon tea will follow. This will be the only service in the Parish of Beverley-Brookton for that day. All involved with the Wool Industry is most welcome to attend!

BEVERLEY AG MACHINERY MUSEUM The Beverley Agricultural Machinery Museum collection (located at Avondale Farm just 5.5kms from town along Waterhatch Road) will be open to the public on Saturday 12 and 26 October between 9.00am and 3.00pm. Entry is free. The Museum houses nearly 150 years of Wheatbelt Farming Machinery. Ring John on 9646 0768 for a private viewing appointment or further information regarding volunteering and restoration.

AVONDALE FARM OPENING Avondale Farm will be open to the public on the 12 and 13 October from 9.00am onwads. Come along and join some of the regular volunteers in either the Homestead Garden or the Bush Reserve. Contact Bronwyn the Caretaker on 0461 421 455 for further details or to arrange a visit to Avondale at any time.

UKULELE PLAYERS WANTED Do you play the ukulele? Are you interested in learning how to play? We are a small group of ukulele players living in Beverley who regularly meet and play and sing. New players are welcome, you do not need to own a uke initially. If you are interested and would like to join us, contact Alan Primrose on 0408 002 965.

JIVE/ROCK ‘N’ ROLL IS BACK Jive/Rock ‘N’ Roll group is back at the RSL Hall on Friday starting at 7.00pm. Great fun for all skill levels, bring a friend along to join in the dancing.
